RE: Getting Back Into Swimming

I want to pick up back swimming too. I did a very basic course many years ago. I didn’t do much in terms of mastering a particular technique but I moved from having a fear of swimming to becoming fairly comfortable in the water and at the deep end. Though basic, it was amazing to see how toned my body became and felt. I want that back! Lol! I’m sure it will take much more work now. It’s said the virus doesn’t spread in water but the rates
are high now where I’m at so I don’t want to venture out just yet. Also I’m a bit worried about the chlorine damaging my hair. I don’t like wearing goggles but have to protect my eyes as well.

I used to fear water as well because silly urban tales over the public pools. One notable story that I still remember is about drowned spirits who could drag you down with them. The virus rates is quite high but there's advantage that I see, since a lot of people are afraid, those who go outside become lesser hence places aren't packed. Sure there's risk but I decided back in 2020 that I can't live my life just being a hermit. Hopefully, you can get back into swimming and maybe you'll have your own private pool, that would be sick!

Private pool sounds good. Hehe!
Those tales would drive fear in anyone eh. You’re right, while we need to be safe, living like a hermit isn’t the way to go about it.
