I am not really a very strict person but I guess some of the Japanese cultures have rubbed off on me after working there for several years.
The practice which stood out the most to me was their respect for each other when riding in public transportation vehicles such as buses and trains.
The respect that I am talking about is being as silent as possible to avoid disturbing other passengers by talking in hushed voices and using earphones when listening or watching something.
Nowadays, it became my pet peeve when my fellow filipinos are talking loudly or having their phones on loud speak mode when inside the buses, trains or even just inside the company premises.
It's so annoying to be honest. You get to hear whatever they are saying and can't concentrate on what you are watching or listening because of their loud voice.
I hope that more people would realize that it is important to behave accordingly when in public so as not to disturb others or brought shame to the country where we come from considering we are now working abroad.
Let me add the smoking in non-designated smoking areas. That's being too inconsiderate and could result to serious health condition to non smokers :(
How about you guys, what behavior in public do you find the most annoying?
Please feel free to comment so we could discuss about it.

Yeah it’s very annoying when people are listening to loud ass music or videos when they are out in public. The most annoying for me is when people are on FaceTime with someone and just chatting away like a regular conversation. Like shut up and put it over to a regular phone call lol.
I always say: respect everything and everyone; In public but also in private. When going by such 'rule' - or 'guideline' if you will - we won't annoy others too much. I do realise it is easier said than done. Since we simply don't know what others find annoying, or not. How others like to be treated, or not. What others are thinking, or not (yea, some peeps don't think at all 😅). Honestly, loud voices can be annoying, but they can also not be. Smoking can be annoying, but can also not be. I suppose it depends on many circumstances, general mood and whatnot. I know this is the situation for me. Sometimes I go to noisy restaurants, while at other times I don't like such and go to the quiet ones. When taking the train, I sometimes like lively settings, and at other times I seek comfort in the quiet and not-allowed-to-use-the-phone wagons. Perhaps what annoys me the most is when others just do whatever without thinking of their surroundings. That said, I have a relatively high degree of acceptance of the situation and therefore don't feel annoyed too often. I suppose this is a plus for all the rest 🎶🙂
Of course there's always a degree of margin to everything, nothing should be absolute.
I agree though about considering the general mood of the surroundings, if majority of the people are lively and happy perhaps due to a celebration or a holiday then that's totally fine, but if people seem to be tired and want to rest inside the train or a bus due to exhaustion after a day's work, then better be mindful of our noice.
As for smoking in non-designated areas where children and non-smokers usually pass by is still a no-no for me.
