Arkhangelskoe (13pics)

in Market Friday2 years ago (edited)

trip to the Museum of steam locomotives. I was visiting my daughter for 4 days and on the last day we decided to visit the Arkhangelskoe Museum-Reserve.
This park-museum is located to the west of Moscow within the boundaries of the Krasnogorsky district. Until last year, my daughter lived in Krasnogorsk and I kept arranging with my son-in-law to visit the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology, but my daughter was against it. She doesn't like to watch military equipment after some events. It turned out that Arkhangelskoe Park is located next to the Museum of Technology.

An interesting detail - I do not know the cost of the entrance ticket. My daughter usually buys tickets to such places. I still got acquainted with the price on the website and saw that the ticket costs 850 rubles, which is about $10. But I also saw a price of 350 rubles (a little more than $4). But the most interesting thing is that non-commercial photography costs 3000 rubles ($35). But I went with a camera without a special ticket for it.

I would divide this Museum-Reserve into 4 parts: Last time, as part of the #MarketFriday project, I told that I had an unsuccessful

1. A palace with a park.
2. The forest in front of the Palace.
3. A zone with a summer stage, a colonnade, a temple.
4. Walking area along the old Moscow River.

Yes, I should also add that this museum now legally belongs to the Ministry of Defense, which organized a sanatorium for its employees. So it turns out 5 zones.

This is a terrace in the backyard of the Yusupov Palace, which has a staircase with access to the park. There are many different sculptures in the park in the style of Ancient Rome and Greece. There are also many sculptures located on the terrace itself. I have seen such a number of sculptures only in the Vatican.
It turned out that the daughter and son-in-law had already walked into this place and they thought that the park and palaces in this park area were the Reserve itself. During our walk, a little rain began to fall and they thought that we would not see anything interesting anymore.
But somewhere music started playing and we headed in the direction of this music. By the way, on the terrace you can see people in the uniform of some guardsmen-musicians. I noticed them at the entrance to the museum and at that moment I thought there would be some kind of concert. I like to listen to a brass band. So I was glad to hear it.

This palace is called Caprice. Interesting name. This is due to the fact that Count Yusupov's wife decided to live separately and this Pavilion was built for her. But then she decided that it was better to live in the main Palace and this pavilion became a "whim".

I really liked these alleys. On May 1, the trees are just beginning to grow leaves. It seems to me that walking along these alleys in the summer is very cool!

Pushkin Alley. The most probably famous Russian poet Pushkin was in this place in the 20s of the 19th century. In honor of this, his bust is installed surrounded by some other busts.
What was Pushkin doing here?
This estate has a very rich history, but the Arkhangelsk estate became most famous at the beginning of the XIX century when the estate was owned by Prince Nikolai Borisovich Yusupov. He was a major wealthy collector and bought this estate to house his large collection. His collection was considered one of the best in Europe, and many famous nobles and nobles, including Pushkin, came to see the "Versailles near Moscow".

Daughter and son-in-law. A week ago they became a young dad and mom.

We found the sources of the music. But we didn't just sit on the benches and listen to the orchestra. The music was perfectly audible at a great distance. We went for a walk in the direction of the old bed of the Moskva River. My companions were surprised that they had not known about this possibility before and were glad to see it.

During the walk, we worked up a good appetite and went to have a snack in a small cafe on the territory of this beautiful estate-museum.

Salad of watermelon, strawberries, avocado, beans, radishes, mint. I've never eaten salads of this combination before. But I got my wife interested in this dish. I think she's going to do something similar at our house this summer..

Friends, I hope you enjoyed this walk around the Arkhangelskoe Estate-Museum-Reserve. I like to visit such places.

This is a very good place. There are trees all around and a very good place to sit. The atmosphere is also seen as saintly.

I also really liked this place. I rested my body and soul there.

👍😀
