The other day I mentioned diapering my neighbor's indoor pet goat, but I only mentioned Boo. Kat is Boo's sister who also is an indoor pet goat who needs a diaper each evening!
Kat is a little smaller than Boo, even though they came from the same Nigerian Dwarf farm. She is a little more easy going with humans as well. She's not so fond of her dog sister, Letras, however!
The night my son and I learned to diaper the goats, we also got to help put them to sleep. These girls race up the stairs as soon as their diapers are on! Whoever gets diapered first usually waits for the other so they can race! The reason they race is to find out who sleeps where.
One of the goatie girls gets to sleep in the princess castle! This is usually Kat, even though Boo is standing outside of it in this photo. The other goat makes her way to the other side of the bed and accepts her blankets on the floor as her bed for the night.
There isn't room in the bedroom for another princess castle, so this is the set up! The girlies go to bed around 8:30 and get up around 6:15 or so. Sounds just like my kids! Ha!
The girls are about the size of a large dog (height wise). They are a little more round than a dog though! 😅 They have a routine and the love sticking to it.
Most nights, their human daddy even sings them a song to go to sleep. One goatie girl's birthday is next month, and you know I'm going to post about their birthday parties! Good night, Boo and Kat! What do you think these goatie princesses dream about??
this is the first time I see this and it's so cute 😄 I never thought goat of that size can be a pet. I saw smaller goats before though. How do they get along with dogs/cat in the house? as you said it isn't great but is there a way to make them live harmoniously together?
I'm not sure, but it looks like Letras and Kat don't get along well. I don't think they ever have. These goats belong to my neighbor and we just met them a few months ago.
