Bettas like fun things to do, they watch you when you're around the aquarium and can learn to play games and tricks, so I had the idea to get a toy train set and put it around the aquarium!
I hope that Laeg enjoys watching it run around. My inner child is super happy about it. :)
Oh! If you're interested in the train set I chose, it's this one! My aquarium is 10 gallons, so it fits around that okay, but I don't know if you'd need extra tracks if you want to try and set it around something larger. It has wooden tracks instead of plastic, and comes with all the parts like the Lego type workers and trees and bushes. :) As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Here are a couple of photos from when I was unpacking it (I'm editing here on Peakd, not sure how to do that through 3Speak, lol):
The train takes one AAA battery, which goes into a little slot where the engine is on the train - not from underneath (I made that mistake, lol, there are little screws on the bottom that would make you think that was the battery slot, but no. There's another screw on the top of the rounded part, that's where you put the battery).
Yuan had some fun with it too when I was testing it out on the floor first:
I've seen Laeg suddenly swim over to where the train was a few times, so I think he's catching sight of it. ^_^ Hooray! I want him to have a fun and interesting home. Did you know the Betta Olympics are happening right now on Instagram? We haven't learned any tricks together yet, but I have an idea about building him a soccer net. :)

Great toy, I remembered by childhood.
My inner child is very happy. 😄
