Hola querida comunidad de Hive Pest, cómo todos sabemos estos días han sido de mucho calor en nuestro país y por supuesto hay algunas zonas más afectadas que otras, en el caso del estado Trujillo el calor es insoportable, pareciera que el sol nos pegará directamente y protección civil ha estado atento informando a la población como protegerse y mantenerse hidratado, yo he visto personas con sombrillas, abundante agua y por supuesto muchas piscinas para sobrellevar el calor.
Hello dear Hive Pest community, as we all know these days have been very hot in our country and of course there are some areas more affected than others, in the case of Trujillo state the heat is unbearable, it seems that the sun will hit us directly and civil protection has been attentive informing the population how to protect themselves and stay hydrated, I have seen people with umbrellas, plenty of water and of course many pools to cope with the heat.
Al parecer todo está bajo control, pero son muy pocas las personas que han pensado en sus mascotas y aunque no lo crean, ellos son uno de los más vulnerables porque no pueden hablar, en mi caso tengo dos perros peludos y eso empeora la situación, yo lo comparo a estar en pleno sol con un abrigo de invierno, así que el calor que ellos experimentan es muy grande, incluso superior al que nosotros sentimos.
Apparently everything is under control, but there are very few people who have thought about their pets and believe it or not, they are one of the most vulnerable because they cannot talk, in my case I have two furry dogs and that makes the situation worse, I compare it to being in the sun with a winter coat, so the heat they experience is very great, even greater than what we feel.
Lo primero que hice fue informarme bien, para saber cuáles eran los días de más calor y lo otro que hice fue hacer arreglos para poder estar en la casa estos días, sobre todo de 11:00 am hasta las 4:00 pm, que son las horas más fuertes, para poder atender y vigilar a mis perros.
Cómo les dije el calor es exagerado y a esto le sumamos las fallas de Luz por tres horas o más, que al parecer son por racionamiento aquí en Trujillo, les cuento que la luz se va justo a las horas que son picos en calor, entonces nos toca ponernos creativos para mantener a los perritos frescos.

El día de ayer y anteayer, les cambiaba el agua constantemente, les abrí las puertas para que entrara brisa y les moje el piso, pero el día de hoy el calor fue tan insoportable que me tocó agregarle agua en el cuerpo, para que estuvieran calmados, en el caso de mi perro Lobo, él está sufriendo más por el calor que Kira, porque él tiene el pelo muy espeso, en cambio, Kira es de pelo liso, por eso a Lobo trato de tenerlo completamente mojado y ustedes se imaginarán que la casa estaba hecha un desastre, porque ellos se sacudían y Kira empezó a jugar con el agua.

Para los próximos días, pienso aplicar la misma estrategia del agua y ya al final de la ola de calor los baño para quitarles el mal olor por las remojadas que han tenido, porque en el caso de Lobo con solo mojarse huele mal, también estoy evitando darle comida caliente y los paseos al parque los hago cuando el sol ha bajado a eso de las cinco de la tarde.
Cuando llega la luz Kira aprovecha para poder refrescarse con el ventilador, desde que era pequeña le ha gustado mucho el ventilador y lo disfruta, pero a Lobo no le gusta, también duermen cerca de la nevera para aprovechar cualquier frío que pueda salir y los charcos de agua que quedan en el piso también los refresca.

Este calor nos ha dejado a todos agotados y eso lo noto en mis mascotas, porque estos días lo único que hacen es estar acostadas, tomar agua y comer, no les provoca jugar, ni molestar ni nada de eso, y Lobo se la pasa cesando, yo lo observó constantemente, no quiero que se vaya a enfermar o a deshidratar.
En el caso de mi mamá, ella cuenta con un solar enorme y su perro Benji se la pasa debajo de los árboles tomando fresco, pero mi casa es muy calurosa, ya que el sol nos da directamente, no tenemos árboles, ni patio, ni nada de eso y es bastante encerrada, la podría comparar con un horno, por eso he decidido tomar medidas adicionales para poder proteger a mis perros, que ustedes saben que amo bastante.

In the case of my mom, she has a huge lot and her dog Benji spends his time under the trees taking fresh air, but my house is very hot, since the sun hits us directly, we have no trees, no yard or anything like that and it is quite closed in, I could compare it to an oven, so I have decided to take additional measures to protect my dogs, which you know I love very much.
En cuanto a Miru, mi gato, todos estos días se la ha pasado en la montaña que queda cerca de la casa y llega cuando el sol ha bajado a golpe de 6:00 de la tarde, llega solo a comer y a dormir de noche, luego lo veo en la mañana cuando desayuna y no lo veo más hasta la tarde nuevamente, podría decir que el mismo se autoprotege del calor buscando lugares frescos.
Imagino que las personas que tienen aire acondicionado dejan que sus mascotas entren a casa, el detalle está cuando se va la luz, todos sufrimos, por eso los baños y rociarles agua, en el caso de los perros me parece buena opción, así como humedecer el piso.

I imagine that people who have air conditioning let their pets in the house, the detail is when the light goes out, we all suffer, so the baths and sprinkling water, in the case of dogs seems to me a good option, as well as moistening the floor.

Ha sido una oleada de calor terrible, haces bien en cuidar a tus mascotas y poder estar pendiente de ellos en esas horas donde el calor se intensifica. Espero que esta oleada de calor pase rápido y todos podamos de alguna forma volver a nuestras actividades normales. Mis mejores deseos para ellos 💚
Si realmente ha Sido fuerte , yo también aspiro que pase rápido, de lo contrario tendré que afeitarlos☺️ Trujillo tiene zonas muy calientes , ayer leí que no es recomendable sacarlos a pasear con sol fuerte ,porque se pueden quemar las patas

Lo sufren más que nosotros y se les nota. En mi caso les dejo cubitos de hielo en su tarrito de agua y les paso también cubos de hielo en toda su pancita para que baje un poco la temperatura. Por supuesto no viene mal un manguerazo de agua fresca, para toda la familia jaja. Un abrazo grande!

Hola como estas, yo tengo un lobo bastante peludo , lo que hacemos es rasparlo al llegar verano , como en Venezuela las estaciones no están muy marcadas, podrías intentar rasparlo y tenerle una franela para las noches frescas mientras le crece el pelo nuevamente, los lobos tienen varias capas de pelo que los prepara para los inviernos pero sufren con el calor, también puedes intentar que lama hielo a muchos les gusta y calma el calor, saludos

Le has pegado mucho el calor. aquí estña haciendo calor, pero aquellas tierras son como más caliente. Que bueno que estás pendiente de tus peludos, ponle agua fría, les encanta.
