Anyone else has troubles with peakd links shares? Some of my shares got removed because mods get 404 on them
Also sometimes hive.blog links don't get caught by redditposh account

I share not that often lately so I can't know how often this issue happens. But I have noticed that the Redditposh comments' line is short on some days...
Can you tell me how often it happens to you? Like, 3-4 times over the last month or 10-15 times?
It has happened since 5 days, and I would say on more than 50% of hive.blog shares. I shared 5 hive.blog and 3 got lost, 2 performed even really good with 50+ upvotes which is annoying
That's fresh of yesterday

It hasn't happened with ecency shares yet so I'm using majority of that, I guess I'll 100% move to ecency links
In the same hour I shared ecency links and they had no problems
disappointing experience especially because you sometimes create posts specially for sharing and often in a particular sub.
when you don't get a redditposh comment, delete the share from the sub and re-share later. before re-sharing, check if hiveposh.com is okay or down (who knows).
Many questions here... Actually, devs were asked about this problem but they found nothing. But they won't search deep if they have nothing particular. And only we, users of the product, can report something particular.
I noticed this too, not with hive.blog but peakd. Can't say how much. Maybe 5 times the last 2 weeks.
Yep, because I'm trying to build some following crowd on specific subs making look like hive interesting, and it's specific work for those sub as you said
On the history one I delete and reposted, maybe should wait more time?
I'm a dev myself so maybe I could help them trying to find something? I helped a bit asgarth with rise of the pixel and stoodkev with an issue there. Should I dm hivetrending? I guess I could replicate the api calls or something
I don't know what's happening there. They are probably busy with other work. You'll say "do you want my help to identify the problem?" and they might answer "what are you talking about? there is no problem".
his comment is hereThat's why I want to collect the info first. @blkchn said he had this too, with peakd -
Yea, I get your point, it would just be so cool to have an api to call to check hiveposh.com status, or the reddit api that's called to check real time where is the problem when it happens and do some checks on my own without bother them 🤔
Interesting peakd links have the issue too, and he got that recently too
https://www.redditstatus.com/
Couple of issues reported here recently not much
"When you don't get a Redditposh comment, delete the share from the sub and re-share later." - I did this, and the link came incorrect and needs revising; I have linked you @x-rain.
Probably, "later" is the key here.
Like, on January 31 or so, I shared, deleted, re-shared and still had no redditposh comment (r / South Dakota). Then I shared another link that day and no redditposh comment again (r/Judaism).
But that moment, hiveposh.com didn't work for half a day. That's why this is my main guess, @davideownzall, that these problems come from hiveposh.com - the server can be down from time to time, like, for 10 minutes a day.
People say that subs can prevent Hive scripts. But how? I created a sub just to see what's inside. The most powerful tool of subs is Automoderator https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit.com/wiki/automoderator/full-documentation/ I can't see how they can prevent Redditposh with it.
It might be there are two or more reasons for redditposh comment problem, for example:
I gave a look at automod and as you say it seems capable of doing stuff only inside the sub and on comments or posts, not on external things to the sub (such as api calls)...
When I posted the history one, I checked when doing the repost and hiveposh.com was up, I even logged in, but maybe the bot was down?
I had these problems when I just copied the link and shared it on Reddit. But after I share directly from PeakD I don't have any more problems
How can you share directly from peakd? That's new for me!
Excellent thanks, I'll try it
It can happen, especially if you have only shared hive links. I am on ecency and had a few cancellations a few weeks ago. Sometimes, one of the audience reports, especially if there are only links they can see, and the moderator acts on it immediately, as their group can be suspended too.
I started incorporating posts with other links and photos. And participating in other groups not just your posts, means I can only share a limited amount.
I know how disappointing it can be when shares are cancelled especially if you have specifically created a post for it.
But that's just how it works there. Don't take it personally. 👍
no no, it's a different thing here, shares are on reddit and they remains and get views and upvotes but the redditposh bot for some reason doesn't catch them
no posts have been removed, the ones i shared above are still there just not caught by redditposh
So if your own observation is that it's about the front-end... Then it's probably only about hive blog, and we can do nothing.
(I had no redditposh thing with r/Judaism too but 2 months ago or so. Though doubt it's about subs).
Would be good to hear about other people's experiences. Did you have the "no Redditposh comment" issue over the last 30 days? How many times approximately, what front-ends? @loading, @tsnaks, @davideownzall, @dkkfrodo, @oldmans, @blkchn, @theworldaroundme, @ifhy, @cryptoreforma
If there is a problem on the side of hiveposh, we have a chance to fix it if we are sure there is a problem on the side of hiveposh...
The problem (instability) can be on the side of Reddit (Reddit API) and it can be about Hive blockchain as a whole and that's out of the reach of hiveposh devs either.
I had two a few weeks ago (maybe a couple months). I use Peakd for all my shares. No problems in the last 30 days and haven't had any problems since those 2.
I've been dealing with the same issue lately. Hopefully, it gets resolved soon!
I've had the problem with 3 of the frontends (PeakD, Ecency & Hive.Blog) and I haven't tried any other frontends anyways for now.
It seems like on some subreddits it happens more often, but I have had it happen on subreddits where I have previously made a share successfully and on the next one it didn't work.
two r/bitcoin posts did not get a comment. but these are my only post into r/bitcoin so i thought maybe its set up like that for some reason :)
Indeed if it's the front end we can't do much, I'll share ecency only and see if that happens on it too... I'm pretty sure it's not reddit api issue because I delete the history post and remade it some time later and still didn't get caught
I'll keep testing and trying to catch what have in common shares not caught, for now the front end is a link
edit: i just shared this now from ecency and didn't get caught too

I haven't had any problems. I spoke to a friend who used Reddit many years ago and he said that they have most likely detected the use of bots in the comments and to generate traffic.
He says that it doesn't make sense for the problem to be ours, the frontends, API, etc.
My Reddit account is new (since last August) and I don't have the computer skills to assess the problem.
but the thing is, posts are there, links are visibile, its a normal reddit post but the bot doesnt catch it for some reason... might be reddit blocking redditposh then?
David,
Yes, there is a block. I was confused by so many comments and I wasn't really answering the question objectively. I was thinking of the other comments, not the ones on redditposh. Now I'm clearer. Apologies for the delay in interpretation 😖
I remembered that it happened to me right away, on the same subreddit. In this case, r/blackandwhite doesn't let our bot “grab” the link. It blocks it.

I think there's nothing we can do from our side. According to my friend who is more experienced in this network, these are security blocks on some subreddits.
If it happens, I wouldn't advise deleting the post and publishing it on another subreddit. Or if you do, change the title and image later.
The suggestion is not to post in that subreddit anymore, there are many others.✌️
