RE: It is now illegal to harvest food here but the orgonite making has begun!

Some tribes raise their little boys until the age of seven the same way as girls.

I had no idea! Certainly I don't see much difference between them in the way Esteban (8) and Luna (6) play together. And you are 100% right about this fostering empathy. When I started the boys school at age 8 my ability to empathise was strong but the school was extremely strict and I was beaten a lot in the fist year, forcing me to be more logical, less emotional. Perhaps my empathy didn't help much at this school because I could feel the pain and sadness of everyone around me. And I hated it! As a consequence I didn't fit in at all and went into a shell. My vision contracted (I became short sighted) and my emotions contracted (I became a recluse, happiest when I was alone). I was labelled a problem child (dyslexia & AHDH) and still hold some traces of that stigma today. But my empathy is still there at least ;)

A plot twist would be if you found out that you have indeed American Indian ancestry. Though just do not do 23andme or similar commercial data grabbing investigations.

Understood. Data is the new gold.

What if we train our tool emotion in such a way that we stay calm no matter the circumstances? The true yogic way!

Yes, this makes sense. As I ripen with age my ability to stay calm in eye of the storm continues to improve and certainly my decisions in life are reflected by this. Thanks for the useful example.

Ighina actually does say exactly in which direction the spiral needs to be in order to channel cosmic or Earth energies.

My teacher on this subject was Yannick Van Doorne and he was unquestionably inspired by the work of Ighina. In a 3D spiral energy travels clockwise. So, if the spiral goes clockwise from the top to the bottom this will send cosmic energy in a downward direction. Clockwise from the bottom will send Earth energy upward. I have run some tests to try and see the different effects but didn't have conclusive results. Likely because as you say, different plants react differently. And to confuse things further, that which is true at a certain time of year is not true at another. Many cycles in play here including moon and planets. Better to use intuition over logic in establishing which direction plants will benefit the most from. With that said I am yet to find a vine plant which does not obey this rule, no matter the time of year.

Where do I post?

It is not at all necessary for you to post in a community. This is more useful if you feel your post to be a very specific theme. However, people seem to 'hang out' in communities so it is possible you will get more interaction by doing so. Also, posting in a community gives you the ability to eliminate the presence of your own posts from your Blog page. Some people use this page as a feed for re-posted articles. So if they like an article they re-post it on their blog page. While if they write an article themselves (posted in a community) this will only be visible in the All Posts page.

This is assuming you are using the peakd interface?

It is worth noting that you also have the option to post in both a community and your personal blog page. This is what I tend to do.

Can I open a new community?

Absolutely. Though you may need a little more hive in your account to do this. Not too much. Perhaps double what you have now. I think however as a newcomer creating a community for your first post is counter productive. Your community will be empty and very few people will see your posts because you don't have followers yet. Better to keep it simple for now and post on your main blog page. Or, in a decent sized community. With all of that said you could also just ignore this logical response and just do what you feel like! No problem to send a little more hive and support you by re-posting your posts to my followers.

What tags do I choose when posting?

The first tag is the most important as this will categorise your post. So, for example when you do your introduction post you would use introduceyourself as your first tag and this will mean your post ends up on this joyous page, along with all the other introductions:

https://peakd.com/created/introduceyourself

This makes it easier for people looking for specific topics to find them.

Just change that last word to whatever you want to see:

https://peakd.com/created/yoga

The other nine tags are still important but less so. Some communities are really pro-active and search daily for anyone using their tags (in the remaining nine) so you could also use groups like ecotrain, naturalmedicine, alive, informationwars, proofofbrain, deepdives as tags which will potentially lead to more people seeing your work. Again, my first feeling with this is to keep it simple for now and don't think too much about communities and their associated tags. So the other nine could be whatever words you feel to be relevant.

How are RC and HP linked?

I don't know the specifics but the more HP you have, the more RC you have.

What are those cryptic codes like !_A_L_I_V_E, !_B_B_H and such?

We have the ability to create our own tokens here, normally associated with a specific community. For example, the weed community hand out joints as tokens. While the naturalmedicine community hand out lotus flowers as tokens. These can be traded for hive or just kept in your hive engine wallet where (hopefully) they will accumulate in value over time. FYI, my lotus tokens (some of which I bought three years ago) have lost almost all their value. Not sure why but they certainly aren't increasing in value over time! While others are.

The number attached to your username (40) is not RC. It is your reputation score, useful for others to see instantly your level of dedication to this platform. It goes up or down depending on votes or flags. Anyone over 80 has been here a very long time and done a ton of work to achieve that number. Anyone under 25 is doing something very wrong in the eyes of the community.

I suppose it is true to say that if you have only interacted with me, your current score does reflect my votes on your comments. What you will find is that moving from 25 to 50 isn't too hard. Beyond this it slows down. As an example it took me a year to move from 75 to 76!

How much time on average do you spend on the blog?

Depends what's going on around me. Most of the time I do a few hours in the morning before sunrise and a few hours in the evening (if my ADHD mind can handle the various distractions at that time) but am not sure I am a good example. What I have found over the years is that I need to put in more hours than other people if I want to maintain a certain high standard. That horrible school I went to was a very particular one and most of the people I competed with there went on to Oxford, Cambridge etc and I noticed they didn't have to try as hard as me to maintain the standard.

Right, signing out for now.

I have another post I would like to put out in the electroculture community, which by the way is my own community, started back in March. For now it is a very small community (50 people) but I imagine in time it will grow and perhaps I will consider making an associated token.
