Hey, @alonicus I'm going to tackle part 1 and have been paired up with oblivioncubed who will be doing part 2, as we're supposed to work in pairs for this competition/collaboration.
The first prompt/opening lines that must be used to start part 1 is:
"The place where the world stopped was not so strange, but the vertigo was overwhelming. The girl could not decide whether or not it would be wise to jump."
That quoted line is the first line of the story and is to be used for the prompt for part 1, and then part 2 will see the story continue, and the writer of which will be given their own prompt line to start their part off with.
Each person is to write about 400 - 750 words, making the entire story about 1,500 words. Obviously, they can exceed the word count, but I think everyone is going to try to stay in the range, to keep it manageable for the judges.
I'd love to read your submission to it though, so I'll tag someone who I've read the work of before and hopefully, they could team up with you.
@litguru (sorry for the random tag) would you be interested in pairing up with Alonicus on this? I noticed that you don't seem to be participating; I don't know if that's by choice or whether you just missed this post. I've read your stories though, and they're pretty sick. I think the two of you would make a good team.
No worries @killerwot - maker sure you tag me in what you guys write, I expect it'll be awesome and look forward to reading it 😁
Cool, I'll tag you in my post when I publish it! Hopefully litguru gets back and fancies joining it. Or, if he doesn't, maybe tag samsmith1971 and ask her if she knows of anyone who hasn't got a partner, so you can get involved in this too! We have until Friday to write and publish part 1 and then part 2's prompt will be published.
oh man, I'm so sorry I didn't see this conversation! I definitely would have tried to help get you a writing partner! Next time? And feel free to come join in our future monthly writing challenges - we'd love to have you !LUV !PIZZA
