RE: Hive-funded events and projects

I'm very much for this and have been running POSH this way for a long time, I think as long as a project isn't solely benefiting a single entity but Hive as a whole, we should definitely throw votes to help fund it - especially if it doesn't require too much funding.

We're kind of in a liquidity crunch with POSH recently as @nomnomnomnom (our 0 fee liquidation account for @redditposh) but as soon as that becomes self-sufficient with the powerdowns we're looking to raise funds for different things again. I'd also be interested in helping out with votes as long as there's transparency on usage of the funds and some ideas I deem to be valuable and worth the cost to test out in an attempt to bring value back to hive one way or another.

Hey Acid,

Hive awareness event in Indonesia. Other small projects, like my meetup, can be funded this way.I'm very inspired by @macchiata's

My plan is to treat this as a value-for-value initiative. In other words, focus on providing value to HIVE first and if the community finds value in what I'm doing, they reciprocate with small or large votes, depending on how valuable they think it is.

I agree that documenting is key from the get go. Reporting on impact as well as funds spent is super important if the community starts showing interest.
