I don't appreciate your continued mischaracterization of my statements. I didn't say "that adoption didn't matter".
I think I've been fairly clear, but I'll try to say it another way: It's not that we don't want platform growth here, we do. We just don't want that growth at the expense of centralized censorship of the entire platform.
But if your claim is that the only way to growth this platform is to put someone in charge of censorship for the entire Hive platform, I invite you to move to one of the many CCP-censored social media platforms. They will happily remove any abuse/porn, and as a bonus, any political speech that they may whimsically decide is threatening to them.
If your goal is to operate in a censored space on Hive, there is a solution: you can create your own community. I saw that @stellabelle told you this already on another post, and I echoed her suggestion there.
Using this method, you can mute anyone you want within your community, not only for yourself, but also for anyone else who is visiting your community. This allows you to create a space where you have full control and can curate the content in that community.
You also have the much simpler option of just muting accounts posting offensive messages, if it's just a matter of you don't want to see them.
As a side point, I wonder about your social media experience to date, if you consider trolling to be "good spirited". It sounds like you're confusing someone being mildly sarcastic and/or joking around, with a true troll. True trolling is not generally "good spirited". It's often intended to drive the person being trolled into a state of extreme anger where they don't think clearly. It's almost never fun to be trolled. But there are several solutions on Hive to avoid being trolled, if you would only avail yourself of them.
