Feeling done over by Steem Engine at the moment? I definitely am and I know I'm not alone.
Like you, I invested in the vision of Steem-Engine (SE) and the team behind it. Now most of the main SE team members have publicly declared they are not going to support Steem development or help it grow. SE are actively reducing the value ENG, EM & EMFOUR by doing so. It has been stated that Steem is no longer stable and that a market place will be built on the Hive blockchain, but NOTHING will be carried over. Instead, we are told that we will have to purchase their newly created utility tokens to operate on the Hive-engine.
Basically, telling everyone who is left holding bags of tokens by people that invested in SE products and services, to go where the sun doesn't shine!
Yet what I don't understand is SE collected all the Hive air drop for all the Steem they collected and haven't spent from SE product and service sales. May I also ask if the big early investor in SE to get things going, will be told to reinvest again in Hive-engine? I doubt it!
Since SE are more or less the same team as Splinterlands, when the game goes to the Hive blockchain, under the logic of what you are doing in SE, will every single Splinterland player have to start all over again and repurchase cards that solely rely on the Hive blockchain? I doubt it.
I am now reading the Hive-engine are going to be asking every single tribe, wanting to cross over to Hive, as the SE team are doing, to invest even more money for the priviledge of doing so. This after investing a lot in SE operations. SE Team members no longer purposefully trying to be witnesses on the Steem blockchain, therefore adding to the instability of that blockchain and therefore decreasing the value of all SE products and services.
I know the SE team members will feel justified in their actions, but from everyone listed below, who are your initial investors and who trusted you, now feel...shafted.
I ask everyone who is in the same situation as me to share this post, but also to write posts about the situation and tell the world to put pressure on the Steem Engine to give all of us some recourse. Recourse not being a post tell us “there is nothing we can do..”
If not, there are a lot of people who won't touch hive-engine services and products. Why would we? On another whim, you could just decide lose interest in the Hive chain and set up another shop elsewhere.
This is not on, as I know you are a firm believer in honor and respect. What you are currently doing is the complete opposite and is doing major damage to your reputation.

I'm also holding 2000 worthless ENG tokens, which I have now very little chance of selling for breakeven price, so yeah, I think this move to Hive-Engine should have been done entirely differently. But why stake ENG? according to SE team members, staking ENG gave no advantages.
Said it for a while now that you can't trust steem-engine. It is a centralized ledger that can close up and walk away any time. It never was a dex or a side chain it just used steem to login
Maybe, but knowing how the community operate, SE must rectify the situation and keep their customers and consumers onboard. Please reblog this post and tell anyone you know who has ENG, EM & EMFOUR about the situation. We must work as a community to create collective pressure on the SE team.

Wow. If what you are saying is true @intrepidsurfer this is very surprising!
This does not seem like the correct thing for @steemengine to do. Maybe i am not understanding the full dynamics. I'm actually not a holder of any Steem Engine tokens (apart from some freely awarded dust), but i am an upholder of integrity.
I feel it is vitally important for any community, especially one such as Steem Engine or Hive Engine who are selling their tokens and exchanging others, to be in absolute integrity and to use an integral system of bottom up governance such as Matrix-8 which enables the users (as opposed to an oligarchy) to govern the community in a well organised, equitable and efficient way.
Perhaps @steemengineteam, @enginewitty (maybe i am wrong i think you are part of the steem engine team?) and any others concerned in the governance and decision making of Steem Engine and the future Hive Engine, can consider very carefully your decisions, and give some meaningful feedback here to @intrepidsurfer and all the other Steem Engine shareholders.
Much Love to all

Have you heard about Ecoin and Initiative Q ?
They are two different initiatives attempting to bring about #cryptomassadoption. Read about them in this post i made about Crypto Mass Adoption and get your allocation of #freecryptocoins.
@aggroed, @yabapmatt. Are you going to engage in this thread?
yeah, but it seems to be pretty much a one way street, with no feedback from @steemengineteam
If Steem Engine (or any other community / organisation) had Matrix-8 governance in place, the team making the decisions at the top (such as @aggroed and @yabapmatt from my understanding) would be delegates, and they would receive messages such as those in this thread from the community members in their 8-PAC meetings, and if they failed to reply or immediately change their course of action (if it is not what was agreed upon in the ground level 8-PAC's), then the remaining seven members in their originating 8-PAC could immediately un-delegate them and elect a new delegate to replace them. The Matrix-8 platform will elect members as delegates who are in integrity, and remove those who are not. It will create integral organisations for the people and by the people. Issues such as this will no longer be issues. What say you guys? How about creating a world class community in Hive Engine with equitable governance?
Yeah this was like giving their entire user base the big FU... Not cool @aggroed Pulling my witness vote for that...
If everything will be as you described, then I will not only not buy new tokens on Hive, but I will also urge everyone not to buy every day - this all seems like a big fraud - people spent huge amounts of money and did not receive compensation. Only a complete fool can buy new tokens on the Hive Engine - after all this
unfortunately, SE team seem to have no interest in the Steem blockchain and it's development. They have stated Steem tribes will have to purchase new tokens to operate their tribes on the Hive blockchain. Please reblog this post and tell anyone you know who has ENG, EM & EMFOUR about the situation. We must work as a community to create collective pressure on the SE team.
I'm shocked. I thought everything will just switch over.
I am shocked too and I think the vast majority also thought everything would be just switched over. This is not the case. Please reblog this post and tell anyone you know who has ENG, EM & EMFOUR about the situation. We must work as a community to create collective pressure on the SE team.
Also noticing the conversation about SMT's has basically ended since the switch to Hive began, unless you still trust Justin Sun for his fickle promises.
Coincidence? No.
Monopoly.
All I know this is just one big mess.
0% of Humans need SMTs, I all out hate the idea. You take a Blockchain to fuse it with an Exchange and a bunch of SideChains, I get the benefits and the ideas,.. but I hate the concept. I like cats and I like dogs out of different reasons, still, I would NOT like to cross their properties to get both in one.
So, I take it you never cared about earning steem engine tokens either?
I got some, all staked up and by that doomed. SE is just not available and the Tokens are anyway done for, who would buy them now? I also created one.. well what a waste of money. But I don't think it made anyone rich :p
what a fucking joke
A bad one at best.
agreed!
Quaratine is bad, thanks for the post, I'll go and watch SHAFT now. Sold my ENG a month ago... guess why?
Aggy for top witness, hehe.
:)
yah kinda sucks.. I just got the miners a while back to get some Eng in case I ever wanted to do anything with it.. but yah.. seems like it's gonna be worthless..
I'm not one of your holders, but I did recently (as in January) purchase a token on their exchange. I knew it was a mistake when I had nothing but problems setting it up and nobody listed as staff wanted to help me in the discord. Instead, it was other users that helped me get it rolling. I am not wasting money on anything @aggroed makes ever again.
The thing I never understand with those tokens is the price always going down. I've spent 500 steem to buy a lot of sportstalk and in the end all that amout went about $10 when the money that steem could bring me in that time is $80. So, I baught $10 for $80. And will all the time for power down that they have it will be even more worthless. Like maybe $1. I guess they have 12 months power down, not 3. That's crazy. It could be minus 1000% in investment.
I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you. It is all a big mess.
I have spent a lot of money and time to create the Nobel tribe and token.
We used it for charity topics and rewarding people that do good things.
Now it doesn't work any more due to the fork of steem. I understand, that it may not easy to switch steem-engine to hive-engine due to legal reasons.
But there is no alternative for this. I am not using steem any more and I only can appel to @aggroed to move the engine to hive without any costs for his customers.
Achim Mertens
I still don't understand these legal reasons, but if I am told in detail I will understand. Yeah, a lot of people are feeling really shafted at the moment.
I am feeling shafted too.
