I have a friend that has recently been diagnosed with type2 diabetes. He leads a very sedimentary lifestyle with very little exercise and ordering delivery food much more often than not. The convenience of that type of lifestyle seems great if you ignore the warning signs and do something about it often too late.
Great to see you had it diagnosed early and are getting ahead of it for a long and healthy life. Seems a good way to battle it is to build active habits which is a great idea anyhow.
Very informative in an easily consumable format too thanks!
Even though I got cataracts and a form of cystic fibrosis in my hands due to diabetes I still count myself as lucky as I am embarrassed to have lost control of it. It was a wake up call: clear and simple. It could have been much worse. Regarding your friend I would hope he pays attention to his body before his body forces him to be attentive. I’ve lost family members to their inattentiveness to the disease. I’m not going that route. Not anymore.
Thanks for the kind words. I like the format too. It’s much easier to write!
