Being someone that was homeless for a year myself, I'm very surprised with how you worded much of this article.

Much information is just downright wrong.

How do you get out? You don't? Nothing further from the truth.

You stop blaming the world for your fucking problems and get a job.

That's one thing I learnt about homeless people after meeting literally probably 100 of them from being homeless.
It was always someone that owes them nothings fault for the situation they landed in.

Ego is a killer and a homeless maker.

Sort:  

I had two jobs. Most have at least one. I'm close wth the school advocate- most of the registered homeless children in September are still homeless.

Having jobs does not matter when the housing costs exceed income.
