Hi, papa! I need you advice about rabbits.
We also tried to replicate them at home this year. But apparently there was a crazy mother-bunny. After the birth of small rabbits, she scattered them in a cage, stomped over them. She began tear out the fluff and make a nest only a day after the appearance of her kids.
We did not interfere in the process, because experienced rabbit breeders say that you can not touch the little rabbits, otherwise the rabbit-mom will leave them. In the end all the little died.
The female was 5-6 months old, the first mating, a bowl with water in a cage was set. Can you tell me what else could be the reason? Or she was just a bad mother?

This is not uncommon with first time mothers. Sometimes, they will even eat their young. If you wait a while and try again, chances are that you will have better results.
