I love goats milk, my wife not so much. I have never tried goat before as a meat but would if I was given the chance to.
when I was a lad we stayed on a farm for a month for a month through the kids holiday, there were goats on the farm and the lady farmer used to bring the milk from the goats and we drank it while eating toast. It brings back good memories.
I remember how boggy the fields were as we were in Wales at the time, my dad thought that it would be a good idea for 2 boys to live off the land and learn about it.
the lady whos farm it was kept me and my brother wrapped in cotton wool while we were there, i think the most we did was fetch the eggs from the chicken coop.
LOL - What an experience! At least you got to try. Thanks for the encouragement! We are enjoying it.
As and heard multiplied times throughout my life :
But it is that madness that makes things really special, it gets much more and more when we are lovers of animals and nature.
It is always good to study our beloved living beings animals, see their behaviors, their way of living, their way of acting in situations.
The truth of all is that they are excellent living beings that you have and take care of in your beautiful farm, I congratulate you for everything you achieve and transmit to your followers.
Again I bless you enormously and I would like to grow as much as you both within this platform, as a person and as a parent you are
Greetings from VENEZUELA <3
Thank you so much for that!
We are getting ready for kidding season. I'm not sure anything is cuter than bouncing baby goats. Our goats are Nigerian Dwarfs, which are very dairy.
We love our goats, but they are probably the easiest breed to deal with.
Very cool! I love it! We were thinking about some of those one day!
Good Post you're do good job in steemit
Lol forgot the most important one, Goats could be very stubborn
Good point!
I was pretty happy when my neighbor's barbecue finally arrived so I didn't have to hear the goat anymore.
That makes sense.
You made me remember a high class veterinary Doctor Who controls every living animals no matter how dangerous they are.. Keep up your good work and keep helping us to grow!
Sounds like a neat person!
Thank you boss.. Please help me to grow here .. I am a #newbie ..
Animals

NIce post @papa-pepper. UpVoted and resteemed successfully. Hopefully waiting 4some valuable upvotes from u in some of of posts. Hhhmmm.
H r u ???
Baby goats take their first steps within few minutes of birth. some goats can even climb steep mountains.G oats have four stomachs and they burp a lot . I hope you know about their burping. And one more fact, they are most loving and innocent beings
Despite being a stubborn animal, goat is one of those animals found in most Nigerian houses due to the easiness of nurturing. I hope your goats are not as stubborn as mine
Cool! I hope to make it to Nigeria one day!
I will love to host you, it's going to be a wonderful moment with one of my steemit icon, role model and inspirer
@papa-pepper It will be wonderful to see a great man like you here in Nigeria. Steemit can bring us together i believe
Goats can also be a source of income. Nice one @papa-pepper. I would love to be like you someday.
They don't eat just the undesirable weeds and thickets, they eat all the good stuff, too! Nothing is safe! ;)
So cute!! When I was visiting Jamaica I commented about how cute the goats were and the driver said they're living lawn mowers but you don't make them pets because you shouldn't eat your friends.... I thought it was an interesting thought
Hello @papa-pepper....
All your post for today always mean a lot to me. Goat is a very stubborn animal here in my location. I hate goat in compare to others pets and house animals. I wonder why you like them, thou you are a homestead blogger lol.
Anyways i love your videos. Can't wait for tomorrow posts. Thank you and good night @papa-pepper
Hard to keep a head count on all the animals with the new arrivals, new born and ones going to animal heaven.
Nice post @papa-pepper
Cause i like a goat.
Regards
Ewure is what we call goat in my local dialect due to their stubbornness. No matter how your punish them for misbehaving, they go back to do the same thing again. Funny goat.
It is one of the popular domestic animal which can easily be cared for without spending a lot. Most Nigeria homes rear goat extensively making them vulnerable to attacks either for infiltrating an unwelcome home, theft robbers or harsh weather conditions.
Dam that is a cute goat! Small goats are so rambunctious!
That they are!
I think the only animals I would have is chickens. Would have others but not very fond of poop!
Baby goats (kids) are adorable and the females are pretty cool, but the adult males I'm not a huge fan of. We had goats years ago and the males always urinated on themselves and then tried to rub up on me, needless to say I wasn't a fan of their fragrance. :D Goats are definitely escape artists. We had one that we should have named Houdini because they could get out of anything and anywhere. Goats also love to dance on your vehicles once they are free, at least that's the experience we had. I do admit though that they were good for clearing pasture land, but we liked the pigs better for that. Hopefully our new piglets are good at it because we have more pasture land to clear this summer. :D Your eldest daughter has such a lovely smile in that first picture after the goat video and I love the look on your youngest daughters face in the picture after that, its priceless. :D Thanks for sharing. :D
God bless you and the pepper clan. :D Have an awesome day! :D
Yeah, we were watching ours pee on its face earlier! Fun stuff!
LOL, you and I have a different definition of fun stuff, LOL. :D Life is never boring with goats I can honestly say, they keep you guessing and are quite entertaining. :D
God bless you and the pepper clan. :D Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! :D
Amazing😂
This is my contribution
Such a little cutie, but, yes goats (and sheep) can be crazy. I like goat meat and goat milk, mostly for the cheeses and yoghurt. They are a good investment for the homestead...
I've heard the Nigerian Dwarf has the best tasting milk, but the larger breeds produce more milk, and are better for meat. It's really important to meet your goats and if possible, their parents before getting them. Behavioral problems are supposedly learned/inherited. I've also heard that there are some male goats that aren't as gross as others in terms of smell and habits. I've also seen that in dairy cows. Some seem to be always covered in poop because they like to lay down where they poop and what-not and some are very clean because they don't do that (this is comparing animals that have enough space to have these options).
The home medicine summit has a speaker talking about mineral supplementation for goats today. https://homemedicinesummit.com/deborah-nieman-goat-mineral-supplementation/
