Yes, something is wrong. Also the things about the blue screen of death is, there is so many things that cause it that there really is no one way solution to fix it.
The best thing to do would be to restore it to a previous version that was backed up. If your not able to start the computer to the open window, try to start it in safe mode by pressing F1.
