One of the strangest projects I've ever worked for creating illustrations, character designs and icons for some guys from London. The game is finally out. Don't really sure if it is interesting to play it or not but at least I have one more cool project in my portfolio.
Searching for Geenie
I had no clue how my Geenie should look like but started sketching with different variations. Here some of the early sketches I've found in my working folder.
After few comments and corrections I've ended with this variant which had been approved and they asked me to start coloring or you can say rendering process. Though this is really looks like drawing using color in Photoshop. I had been drawing on my old Wacom Intuos 3 tablet with Macbook Pro that time.
Unfortunately this illustration was so huge taking so much disk space so I didn't saved any working steps and middle variantions for you.
Approved Final
This was the final approved five pieces supposed to use them for app store previews as a carousel. I've done everything what they said and this final result looked overwhelming. Too much of details. Especially if you are using small screen devices.
First we was thinking to use human user hand for this images and I have this variant to show you here.
I've passed all the source files to Reality Games company and looks like guys improved it a lot after all. They've removed a lot of unnecessary stuff uniting the whole story with one background color. Looking much better!
Inner Screens

Icons
The most interesting part of this work was icons. I love to develop small characters, faces and objects to use it for stickers or icons in games or apps. Sets are inspiring. Small things but when you put them all together it looks like a huge work. Just check it out...
