The 3rd and final ODI Match of the India tour of West Indies, 2023 was played today at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. In which India beats West Indies by a big margin of 200 runs to seal the series by 2-1.
West Indies won the toss and invited India to bat first, India batted first started the inning very strongly, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill came to start the inning and gave a very strong start with a century partnership and almost a half-century partnership of 143 runs for the first wicket, the first wicket has dismissed for 143 runs in 19.4 over, Ishan Kishan dismissed after playing a very brilliant half-century inning of 77 runs with the help of 3 sixes and 8 boundires in just 64 balls, next batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad came to bat and he dismissed very quickly just for 8 runs in 14 balls as second wicket in last ball of the 23rd over, the team score was 154 runs, followed by Sanju Samson came to bat handled the inning and played a very brilliant half-century partnership of 69 runs with Shubman Gill, the third wicket has dismissed for 223 runs in 31.5 over, Sanju Samson dismissed after playing a brilliant half-century inning of 51 runs with the help of 4 sixes and 2 boundaires in just 41 balls, next batsman Hardik Pandya came to bat, after a moments the fourth wicket also dismissed for 244 runs in 38.4 over, Shubman Gill dismissed after playing a very brilliant half-century inning of 85 runs with the help of 11 boundaires in 92 balls, next batsman Suryakumar Yadav came to bat handled the inning and played a brilliant half-century partnerhsip of 65 runs with Hardik Pandya, the fifth wicket has dismissed for 309 runs in 46.5 over, Suryakumar Yadav dismissed after scoring 35 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 2 boundaires in just 30 balls, followed by Ravindra Jadeja came to bat and he was remains unbeaten for 8 runs in 7 balls with Hardik Pandya, and Hardik Pandya played a very brilliant unbeaten half-century inning of 70 runs with the help of 5 sixes and 4 boundaires in just 52 balls. In this way, India scored 351 runs for losing just 5 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and set a very strong target of 352 runs in front of West Indies.
West Indies bowlers Romario Shepherd took 2 wickets for 73 runs in his spell, Gudakesh Motie 1 wicket just for 38 runs in his spell, Alzarri Joseph 1 wicket for 77 runs in his spell, Yannic Cariah 1 wicket for 58 runs in 8 overs, Jayden Seales was wicketless for 75 runs in 8 overs, and Jayden Seales also wicketless for 25 runs in 4 overs.
West Indies chasing 352 runs in the second inning the entire team was dismissed just for 151 runs in the third ball of the 36th over and lost the match by 200 runs. In this way, continuously wickets failed one after another, and end of the result the entire team was all-out just for 151 runs in 35.3 overs, and lost the match by a big margin of 200 runs with this loss also lost series by 2-1.
Indian bowlers performed very brilliant bowling, Shardul Thakur took 4 wickets just for 37 runs in 6.3 overs, Mukesh Kumar 3 wickets just for 30 runs in 7 overs, Kuldeep Yadav 2 wickets just for 25 runs in 8 overs, Jaydev Unadkat 1 wicket just for 16 runs in 5 overs, Ravindra Jadeja was wicketless for 29 runs in 5 overs, and Hardik Pandya also wicketless just for 13 runs in 4 overs.
Indian batsman Shubman Gill was selected as the best player of the match, he played a very brilliant half-century inning of 85 runs with the help of 11 boundaires in 92 balls.
Indian batsman Ishan Kishan was selected as the best player of the series, he performed very brilliant batting in the entire series, scored 52 runs in 46 balls in the 1st ODI match, 55 runs in 55 balls in the 2nd ODI match, and 77 runs in 64 balls in 3rd and final ODI match.
