It is alot to buy back at 1 time, this will be our 2nd biggest buyback since launch.
You've just sparked an idea with
Thoughts on a spi 2.0, as burning this is kind of the opposite direction no?
I'd thought of reselling them on HE and using them for rewards for contests but I'd never thought to use SPI to get SPI 2.0 started. Interesting...
If "just thinking out loud" SPI 2.0 were pegged to 10% of a SPI, then I could burn (convert) the 2500 SPI we'll get from the buyback into 25k SPI 2.0 tokens. These could be airdropped to SPI token holders as part of a promotion launch.
Interesting 🤔, thanks for the thought
I personally like the idea, too. That would be a good way to jumpstart into the idea you previously mentioned in your article last week. You could maybe re-sell some on the open market, some will get bought, and the rest could be converted to SPI 2.0. In turn, liquidating more funds for you to grow over time as you've done very well since 2019 launch
It would be a great way to jumpstart SPI2 if we could do an airdrop for all token holders. I'll hold onto them for a while and see how I feel in a few weeks. I go through phases when I want to do a SPI2 token and other times when I think, Nah.
It's one of those 1-way door decisions so when it's out there, we cant bring it back. Not like EDSD for example that could be wrapped up today without affecting EDS.
Thanks for your support as always bro
Haha see, for me it's just thinking about how burning the current spi and thereby decreasing the availability goes against wanting to grow the fund and project. You turn it into a new idea with airdrops and everything, that's great!
Only thing is that the spi(2.0) created this way won't be backed by anything except for the 5% fee for the buyback, by airdropping everyone has a bit more spi that's worth a little less, right?
Still could be worth it in terms of promo if spi2 would be setup in a bigger way to be sold over a longer period
As it's all aimed for the long term I think having a long period of slowly selling isn't bad at all, build the fund slowly goes hand in hand with get rich slowly imo
