I'm guessing the 50KW is under peak conditions. I would be interested to see what the average output is.

Although, this is a really great idea having multiple sources of generation. It will likely be windy if it isn't sunny.

I personally prefer the VAWT style turbines as they catch the wind from any direction, as opposed to the HAWT style which have to turn to face it. Overall I think water power is probably the most reliable alternate energy source, since it should supply electricity at a relatively consistent voltage.
