How I Found Steemit
My coworker, @robyneggs, showed my Steemit earlier today and am I super grateful to join. I returned from a three week road trip Friday evening, and she had told me she was dying to show me this amazing community she had stumbled upon. On our lunch we ran around Portland, OR, taking my introductory/verification photos. I hope you enjoy them!

About Me
I am in my mid twenties and I live in a house in Portland with 3 other bachelors who are like minded individuals. I am an extremely charismatic person who will say hello to anyone on the streets. I love to study and learn, I have a bachelor's degree in environmental science and also study programming. I will be done with my student job and my education in March and plan on leaving my place in Portland to go travel and experience the world! I am thinking about getting a van and using my experience to get a teleworking job so that I can be mobile at all times. I want to cycle and backpack through many national parks and other areas of the beautiful United States (and other countries). I need help getting prepared and with pushing myself to do this because I know that this life is possible, and I am getting very close to it! I think that Steemit can help me get ready for this transition. I am a very creative person, I write a lot of music and play guitar and piano. You can find my music online, but I don't think I am quite ready to share too much of it quite yet (I have to leave some excitement for my readers). I also love nature and the outdoors, I will make any excuse to go outside (even if it is raining). I have camped and backpacked all over Oregon and many other parts of the states, and I cannot wait to see more! I am excited for this outlet to help me organize my projects and share with you how I do what I do and the kind of life that I, and many other millennial Portlanders enjoy.
(who am I kidding, I'm really just here for the ladies. Where are my international women at?)
Why Would You Want To Follow Me?
I want to document my experiences and organize my projects into this venue. I always have way too many projects on my mind and cannot seem to even keep track of them. This is why I think that having this avenue will greatly increase my productivity and will, hopefully, inspire people to get out and do some cool shit. I would love to write some tutorials, show off some of my art/music, fund some more traveling, and become a part of a super neat community! Don't forget to like and follow if you want to see more of me on Steemit!
Teaser
So, I just recently went on a 3 week roadtrip as you already know from reading the rest of my post. You're probably wondering where I went and what I saw? Well, you're in for a treat! I've got loads of pictures and some good stories about where I went. I just got back this last weekend from touring 7 western states and 7 national parks. I'm very excited to share more with you!

Questions?
What I would like to do is open this form up for questions. Please, get to know me and let me know if there is anything about me you would like to know! Again, don't forget to like and follow!
Welcome to the community! @robyneggs puts out some good content. It's good to have people join from word of mouth.
@ tee-em thanks for the welcome! @robyneggs is great! Glad to be here through word of mouth, such a great way to join!

Thanks @robyneggs! My first... guess you popped my cherry!
:-O ;-) :-)
Can't wait to spend some more time here!
Happy to have you here! Love your intro post and can't wait to read more. Let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you so much @driv3n! My mind is spinning with how many things I can share and the stuff I can do here. I probably should browse through some of the stuff online to learn more about things like converting steam to steampower and how the community works. I'm sure that spending more time here will answer my questions in time! I am quite the newbie.
Welcome to Steemit! Awesome pics from the national parks. I'd love to see Yellowstone and Yosemite eventually (I'd REALLY love to see the redwood forests though!).
Thank you so much @trogdor! I have many pictures to share! Stay tuned and you will for sure see more!
I also went to the Redwoods this year in March, and Glacier in July. I can definitely comment on my experience there as well and share some photos! Being in Portland makes it so easy to travel and see these places if you have time, energy, and a little bit of gear (which makes me think that I could also write some stuff about the gear I use and how I do this stuff so frequently). It's definitely very attainable if you set your mind to it! Someone told me on my trip, "If you can conceive it, then you can achieve it!"
PS: Love the Homestar Runner refference!
Hey! You are very welcome here, we're glad to have you around ☻
@valenttina Thanks!
