The three day rule has worked very well for me in the stockmarket. For crypto, 3 days can be an eternity, but I still go by it. Most that can happen is you loose a little on the rebound but can save a chunk if the market got it wrong.

Definitely beneficial if you don't have access to options, as is the case with crypto and currently Robinhood, which is where I do my stock trading.
