Who Am I...
Hello Steemit World! So who am I? My name is Cynthia Stokes but I am a few things...a Wife to this handsome man right here named Torrell. We grew up in the same neighborhood and were childhood sweethearts. When we were 10 years old he told me God showed him I would be his wife. Of course I laughed and ran from him for awhile because I thought he was crazy!!! I mean come on what 10 year old can handle something like that? We dated on and off in high school until finally decided to make it permanent in November of 2006. Looks like he was right after all. We will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year!

Homemaker, Homeschool Teacher and Stay at Home Mom to 3 amazing kids and our precious newborn. Yep, our newborn just arrived last Sunday on July 24th. We were pregnant with twins but unfortunately lost one of them at 12 weeks. It was a bittersweet delivery day because I know there once were two but we only left the hospital with one new baby. I will introduce him in a future post.

Since I was a young girl I loved to work with children. I have always wanted to be a teacher so I worked in many daycare centers in my younger years right out of high school. Eventually with the experience I had and the college education I pursued, I was able to have my own in home daycare center. I absolutely loved it! I loved the freedom to be creative and to provide a safe learning environment for children. Eventually after a few years my husband and I decided to start having our own children. So now instead of having a daycare center I literally have a school of my own, homeschooling my children. I love that I can give them a solid foundation starting at home.

My daughter started reading at age 4. She is now 6 years old and reading on a second grade level. My oldest son is now 4 and he is going through the same reading program as my daughter did. Anyone can teach their children when time and effort is put in.

Crocheter, my favorite pastime is definitely crocheting. I started crocheting 5 years ago after I had my daughter. It started as a stress reliever, then it became a hobby and then finally a mini business. I started making things like hats and scarves for my family. Then as I got better at it people started asking me what's my price. So thus a business was born and I was crocheting and selling all kinds of things like fingerless gloves, leg warmers, baby items etc.

I am aware that one of Steemit's goals is to get more women involved in this community. I do plan on doing tutorials on how to crochet in the future. So ladies, those of you who are interested stay tuned!!! Just be WARNED, it is very addicting and once you start you will not want to stop!

Part-time Model, another hobby that I enjoy. I don't see it as work because it's fun! It's really a win win! I'm having fun, meeting new people, getting some me time away from home all the while getting a paycheck...yep WIN WIN! I'll be sharing some of my experiences and more photos as well.

DIY Lover and Essential Oils User.
Now just briefly about essential oils (EO's). Our family has been using them for about 6 years now. We are members of Young Living Essential Oils. We rarely go to the doctor because we use them for lets see...just about EVERYTHING! We have always loved home remedies and natural medicines over pharmaceutical medicines. I had some bad reactions and side effects using over the counter medicines and that is what led me to EO's (volatile liquids derived from plants, bushes, roots and wood). Stay tuned for more information on healthy living with EO's. I will be sharing some of my favorites concoctions in future posts!

Steemit Interest
Torrell and I have been experimenting with and exploring the cryptocurrency world for the past few months. We're excited to learn more and dive into the Steemit community and get involved. I am really looking forward to sharing my talents and experiences as well as learning from other ladies that might share the same interests. I am sure we will gain a lot more knowledge of how things work just by being apart of this Steemian environment. We are investing now because we know this will be Huge!!! We are so grateful for this opportunity to get involved.

I will leave you for now with our family video we had done for us last year. I couldn't introduce myself without introducing my family too. They are the ones that keep me thriving and going. Family means so much to me and I love capturing our moments together and sharing them.
