Hello, Steemit!
My name is Thea and I’m a twenty-one year old Filipina currently majoring in Geology (but planning to pursue medicine).
Starting a blog has always been part of my resolutions for every new year. The sentimental thought of sharing with others or at least documenting for myself the things that happen in my life is a habit I would want to have and keep. After discovering Steemit, I knew this time I wanted things to be different. Steemit appealed so much to me because the community really appreciates user-made content and the general platform itself encourages interaction among all users. With that, I knew this was an opportunity I couldn't pass because by joining Steemit, I would be sharing my passions and possibly even meet people whom I share interests with.
So now I’m here in my first post, hoping to meet all of you! And I hope you’ll be willing to have me as well!
I’ll go ahead and tell you my posts will mostly be about but not limited to travel destinations, mountains, baking and cooking recipes, weightlifting routines, and even game reviews... and there's definitely more to come! And I’m hoping you’ll all appreciate them as much as I do!
With this out of the way, do you have some tips for any new steemit users like me? Or perhaps you just want to ask or to talk about anything under the sun? Just hit me up and let’s chat! :)
Welcome to Steemit !
I hope you enjoy as you invest your time, effort and ideas here in the platform. It may take patience to build upvote from Steemians just don't expect too much because at the end all your post will be worth it. I tell you this for I have been here for a while since then it made some adjustments in my life. I love it here and may likewise with you.
Love,
@carpieeew
Thank you very much, @carpieeew! Yes, I do expect the climb to be quite difficult but definitely worth it. How did you do it? I would love to hear some tips from you. :)
Welcome!
I, too, was pursuing a career in medicine; but I expanded my vision, and became an entrepreneur.

Couple questions
Why the spelling different Philippines with a P
And Filipino with an F ?
And I made this dish can you guess ;)
Thank you very much! Well, to explain it simply "Philippines" is the English name for our country. We, the locals, refer to ourselves as Filipino (Spanish) or Pilipino (Tagalog/native language). :)
Wow, your dish looks very appetizing! It looks a lot like one of our famous breakfasts called longsilog (longganisa with garlic-fried rice and fried egg).
hahahha yes it is and was yummy :) and ty for explanation it makes sense.
Glad to help! And that's awesome! My favorite silog version is tapsilog, which uses dried or cured beef instead of longganisa. :) I have to say, the plating is very nice in your photo. I 've always wanted to know how to improve my photography skills, especially with food!
Nice to meet you @cruziana. You recently commented on one of my posts which brought me here to check you out. Your comment on my blog was very thoughtful and honest. I am sure you will be doing great here on Steemit. Welcome. :)
Nice to meet you as well, @silviaturon! I'm very glad you appreciated my comment! I always enjoy reading and responding to thought-provoking and intriguing posts. And thank very much, I'm already having fun in Steemit! :)
your first post is good, which has got a great response .. salute
Thank you very much!
I hope this year, you'll finally get to stick to your resolution of writing in your blog! It wouldn't be so hard to do that with Steemit :)
I'm a 5th year medical student and I just read the intro part of your post that you're planning to pursue Medicine? Good on ya! :) Just wondering though, why did you choose Geology as a pre med? :)
Cheers!
Yes, I definitely hope so! Oh wow, 5th year already? You must be so excited to finally finish the course! How has it been? :) Where are you studying, if I may ask?
Oh, I chose it out of a whim (and partly because of my parents' suggestion to do so). Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed all our fieldworks but I don't really see myself doing it for the rest of my life!
I really hope we get to keep in touch! Would definitely love to hear a lot about you! :)
