Hi, everyone
While I was reading about steem community and posting, I saw many recommendation for first post, should be "introduce yourself post". But I couldn't figure out how to start, what to tell etc.
Then I woke up to this today. After problem solving and reality check, I was like "oh, I think I found my intro for 'introduce me' post."
Hi Again, I'm NOT a cyborg and That's OK.
That' me (Gonca). Writing for online sharing is a new form for me so, it might be absurd and wired.
When I was a child, I spend my time to build toys from legos, mud and knexs. For the sake of experimenting, I burnt our garden (accidentally), broke electronic stuff and even poisoned. (I was a bit tinker bit stupid at that times.) Eventually, I give up this hobbies because of hard working at primary school. Then education system pull me inside of his boring life
When I met Industrial Design, I found new playground for myself. Idea of making things, innovating something, redesigning daily objects excite me so much. My addiction to digital design directed me to interaction design, responsive architecture, smart furnitures and 3d mapping installations. During my study, I focused on open design and mass customization with projects. I'm co-founder of Gestalt Zone which builds collaborative working spaces to accelerate businesses and organize creative events to empower local communities. I coached different groups during Gestalt Zone’s courses like Design Thinking. I curated +10 PechaKucha events and executed 4 different workshops.
In summer of 2017, I decided to move in Ankara.
I dont know what I will be share at this platform, untill I figure it out take care of yourself,
See you
Merhaba,
Welcome to Steemit. I see that you're into designing. Has there been any talks about how VR and 3D printing could affect your work? Is it already being utilized? I have seen companies view their products in VR space first before making it real. Is this widespread already?
3D printing already spread out, many of companies and designers use it for prototypes and even for endproduct. VR is still try to figure out how to being usefull in design, production and shopping habit. Tilt Brush by google try to change our habits of using digital drawing/modeling tools. And yes thanks to VR, there are some companies let their users view products in their house before buying it. But there is some issues about perspective, quality of render and disaccord of light in product and their home. I think it still got too much to improve. But I like the idea of VR could lead products to be more customisable, when it doesn't fit I should add or remove some parts of it, or change some of parameters like number of shelves or their height etc. In Turkey VR is mostly using for social responsibility projects, like sight seeing for physically handicapped people, and some art installations
Cool. Thanks for detailed answer.
Miss. designer congratulations to you for this nice blog . I hope you will get success to all your steps .
