Not to change the subject, but how bad are the snakes when you hunt or hike. Seems like that would be more than a little concern?

Snakes are seen on most trips, mainly Red Bellied Blacks as i'm usually close to water,
and a few Brown's but i don't react with fear like most. As i'm usually still and quiet, they will have a look around and usually move on unless they want my bait and then they can hang around. Only ever had problems with one small brown around 12 inch long biting at my boots up at Blanche-town. Had to throw a cup of cold water on him to make him leave. Show them some respect whilst your in their home and things are sweet.
Yikes, I know that those are some bad snakes. That would definitely add some perspective to a fishing trip. Snakes don't usually bother me, but those kind would. Spiders are actually my greatest fear...
