WIN STEEM AND SEE WHAT NUMBER STEEMIAN YOU ARE!
Yesterday I came across a cool contest hosted by @insideoutlet and thought, hey, why not run one of my own.
So here's how it works...
Head on over to steemd.com and enter www.steemd.com/@yourusername. (In case that's too confusing, you don't actually type "yourusername" you enter in whatever your user name is, i.e. www.steemd.com/@lochsteemit)
Once you're there, check out the left rail and you'll see your ID, which I believe is your number of when you joined Steemit (kinda cool).
Take that number and post it into the comment section. In one week, once this post has been paid out, I will use Google's random number generator to select a number between 200,000 and the highest ID # of all the participants.
The user with the ID # closest to the randomly generated number will win 50% of the SBD paid out by this post!
If you resteem this post, and you're the winner, you'll earn an extra 25% of the payout, totaling 75% of the SBD generated!!!
I made the cut off at 200,000 because I'd like to see the winner have minnow status as opposed to a whale. So a quick recap of the rules...

- Upvotes of this post will be the source of the pot and are strongly encouraged
- Find out your ID # and post it in the comment section
- The winning number will be selected one week from today
- The participant with the ID # closest to the randomly selected number will win 50% of the SBD of this post!
* In case of a tie, the reward will be split evenly between winners - Resteem for your shot at the bonus reward of 25%, totaling a whopping 75% of the SBD!

No one is actually in charge. It is only by custom that what @bycoleman says is true.
You cannot change tags on posts older than 7 days, and you can never delete the first tag (as i becomes a part of the URL of the post itself.
What @bycoleman says is true, but you should not be worried. No one is keeping track. (Except for bots like this)
Got it, thanks for the info @improv. I mean, you're here, why not give a crack at the contest?
@improv is right in that Steemit is a decentralized system, so no one is actually in charge. @steemcleaners does keep track though and if you're reported, they can flag you for it.
The intent is so new people can introduce themselves. If people just post random stuff, then the newbies don't get seen. That's why they consider it abuse.
