I'm really amazed at how helpful the Steemit community has been (and is) with dealing with this kind of harassment....
I have seen that character matters on Steemit. I think we are natively drawn to folks that treat us right, and we want to reciprocate. Perhaps that is Steemit's greatest strength, that it draws on our desire to be good to folks, and so upvotes, and the community, are encouraged.
