Well I’m super excited to be joining the Steemit community! I’m Lenny an actor/creator/dodgeball player/ goofball living in The Golden State of California. I am brand new to this forum and honestly, blown away from the potential Steemit has. I’ve heard a lot of things about it, did a bunch of research, and am just ready to fully dive into being able to share ideas with other creative minded people. Like a lot of people, I have been underwhelmed with using other social media sites specifically the social media that has become completely saturated with political agendas alienated one another. It’s become less about sharing ideas and growing and more about political hate.
I am a Midwest kid at heart, as that’s where I grew up and went to school. I’m super proud about the fact that I grew up in such a small community as it afforded me opportunities growing up that I’m unsure I would have gotten anywhere else. I was able to participate in EVERYTHING! Seriously, there wasn’t anything off limits. I got involved in the community theatre scene in middle school where I did a slew of plays and later graduated from college with a BFA in Theatre Performance.
I am so hammy in front of cameras
I am a big fan of sports too as big story lines fascinate me. We could talk major U.S. sports all day but I’ll keep that portion relatively small in relation to other important things on here for me, such as the adult DODGEBALL scene in California! I discovered, within my first few months in California, that there is this incredible underground competitive dodgeball scene. I absolutely cannot get enough of it. People come together weekly to play in these leagues run by the World Dodgeball Society. These people play dodgeball passionately and just like me, love the comradery and the sport of it all. It's incredibly fun. I used to play baseball as a kid all the way through legion ball and it's not surprising that the skills translate seamlessly to dodgeball. Reach and funnel, crow hopping, keeping your eye on the ball, follow through with throws, everything dodgeball related I have learned from playing baseball years ago. Plus, it’s an amazing way to get out some pinned up aggression by blasting someone as hard as you can with a dodgeball!
In the heart of the action! You try dodging that many
For the last five years though I have blended that Midwest kid with the rigors of that California fast paced life style. It’s been an incredible ride so far and I am super excited to share with you guys the trials and tribulations one has while dream chasing in such a HUGE place and attempting to balance important things such as family (video below), friends, career, creative work, dodgeball, and all around life.
My niece loves play fighting so I showed her how to do it properly
I work odd jobs such as bartending, Resident Services for an Assisted Living Community and other hospitality gigs throughout the week making sure my schedule allows flexibility for last minute auditions and casting calls. Each day tends to be drastically different from the previous one. With meeting so many new people daily that kind of uncertainty comes tons of incredible stories and adventures I’m excited to share with you! These adventures continue to shape who I am as a person and continue to keep me on my toes in this ever changing industry. I like to consider my life a work in progress as I work towards the best version of myself and I’m thrilled at the opportunity to share these things with you! Follow me down this crazy new Steemit internet hole! My creative works to follow as I have much more to share.

Yesterday I saw a person leaving his job to live on steemit only. And, since I made a bit in just 24 hours, I can understand his choice.
Steemit is the best paid social media out there, so enjoy there :)
