Hello Hive / SteemIt
I am MoreTea / Liquid Eye, a Berlin (Germany) based digital content creator
for events, stage-shows, print- and online media, photographer, videotechnician, show operator and Ex-TSUvian
and finally, here's my introduction post to say hello to the citizens of the Hive and SteemIt and all the Ex-TSUvians whom i've already seen roaming around here.
Am i who i say i am?
One option to verify my identity is to check out the links to my other digital homes in the footer of this post.
Secondly you can CLICK HERE to check out my Liquid Eye twitter acount where i've just posted a link to this post.
And the third option would be a personal approval in the comments of one or more of my fellow tsu-family members. Would one of you guys please be so kind to approve in the comments that it's me? Anyone? Thx :)
What will my content be?
I think i'll write some articles about various topics with focus on my photos. Not only, but mostly. And i've already seen some familiar photo-challenges up and running here to which i might contribute. So stay tuned if you're into photography and maybe like to see some graphic design stuff and other digital works of mine, too.

@Mountainwashere's Guide for New Users:
Welcome to Steemit! It's got a steep learning curve, but it's worth it in the long run if you keep putting in the time! Just know that it will take quite a while before you start getting attention and followers. The biggest secret to success? Keep posting high quality content regularly, and make sure to search out other people's posts, read them, and give relevant comments.
Tagging is extremely important. Always make sure to use all five possible tags, and to keep them relevant. You can always just tag something "blog" or "photography" or something else really general (so long as it's still relevant) to fill the quota if you need to- most of your tags should be established ones, though one or two less used ones are fine.
Posting more than four times a day can reduce your potential rewards, as well as turning off potential users. (I aim for one post per day most of the time.) Consistency is important, though, so you should try to post often.
Always make sure to attach a photo to your posts! You should also have a finished profile: Write a description, add a profile picture and a banner- neither needs to be a photo of you, necessarily, but you should have something- and set a website.
There are a lot of really good resources out there for plankton and minnows (new users). You should check out the following groups and services, they offer a lot of valuable resources:
@thesteemengine (Check this one out first- they're an extremely supportive group that can help out in a lot of ways.)
@qurator (These guys offer an excellent liftime upvote to accounts that post consistent quality content.)
@steembasicincome (Another lifetime upvote option.)
@steemstem (The biggest and best STEM curation group in the game. If you're interested in writing or reading about science, check these guys out!)
@geopolis (A fairly new science curation group, this one's dedicated to the study of the Earth.)
@ocd (A curation group that seeks out undervalued new writers.)
@photocontests (Runs contests for photographers, pretty self explanatory.)
Much of the activity on steemit actually takes place off Steemit, on places like steemit.chat and discord. Learning to use them is a great idea.
And, again, the biggest thing is just patience. Breakout successes are incredibly rare on Steemit- you've got to find your way to success through perseverance and hard work. It takes time, but you'll eventually succeed if you put in the work.
Please feel free to repost this guide on the posts of other plankton & minnows you run into (though I'd appreciate it if you credit me.) If it was useful to you, feel free to check out my posts and give me a follow!
thx for the advice :)
Happy to help, let me know if you have any questions!
How can I not follow a user who also has an eye in his image :-) ... Welcome to Steemit!
thx and welcome to the eye club ;)
Hi @moretea and welcome! I'll follow you and check what's going on :)
okidoki ツ
Welcome to Steem. Do read A thumb rule for steemit minnows - 50:100:200:25 for starter tips.
Also get to know more about Steem reading the Steem Blue Paper and share your feedback on our Steem Blue Paper Awareness Initiative
All the Best!!!
thx for the advice :)
Welcome to Steemit moretea. Let me know if you got any questions about Steem or anything related to it! The official FAQ can be found here and has A LOT of information https://steemit.com/faq.html - Also remember, Steemit is just ONE of the sites built that uses Steem the blockchain. We also have DTube - our very own Youtube, DSound for Soundcloud and Steepshot if you prefer Instagram like experience. I'd also like to mention ChainBB - forums, Busy - Steemit with more modern look basically, DMania for memes and Dlive for streaming just like in Twitch! Welcome to the blockchain
thx for the advice :)
Welcome, lots of old friends hanging around in here. But the site moves so fast its sometimes difficult to keep track of everyone.
Reading a lot here for some time now about how things work and yes keeping track of people and other things here is pretty complicated, no notifications to help with that, this strange bandwidth thing going on here, whales, witnesses, minnows, to use or to not use these bots, etc. One especcially annoying issue i have is a login problem across multiple browser windows ... is this a bug or do they want me to do everything in one window? ... puuuh ツ
Hey hey ... thanks for spreading my introduction ツ found some tsu vets already and even some of the good old challenges are running here ... great and yes, this blockchain thing is fast.
Heres a List @kalemandra compiled a few months back, help you find some others:
https://steemit.com/tsufamily/@kalemandra/new-ex-tsuvian-list-have-you-ever-been-a-member-of-tsu-community-can-you-find-your-name-in-the-list
thank you very much, but i think i came across a more recent one already ツ
Did you try busy.org? Seems to be a pretty good alternative to steemit.com ... much better designed site, notifications are working, no login stress across multiple windows.
Hope this wasn't your last post ... Steemit it all the way!
Nope, surely not, but i have a lot of things runnin' around my head that need attention right now and i don't just want to post daily bs here. Sola is good for now for getting out some quick mobile shots from out on the road.
(Open your mind and ) The rest will follow ... 🖖🏽😎🤙🏽

I was very happy that you chose to participate in this great platform, greetings @moretea
yep, me too ... registered here in 2016 already, but in the tsu aftermath when everyone was spreading across a galaxy of sites i almost gave up on all that ... until now! ツ
Something similar happened to me, really since March of 2017 here, but I started seriously in July of 2017, this is another story, nothing to do with what is known so far. @moretea
Of course you are from Tsu ;-) Welcome here @moretea , the best place to be right now ! ^_^
Thank you very much ツ
Welcome liquideye, good to have you here! Another tsuvian joining the Steem family is great! Following you now!
Thanx ツ from tsuvian to steemian or how's the naming here?
Pretty relaxed naming here, most say Steemians, but it's not written in stone, as far as I know. Lol! =^)
okidoki ツ stil doing a lot of reading here to figure out how things work and there are a few things already that are not really amusing to discover ... i.E. pretty comlicated and confusing interface/website to use and keeping track of things here, no notifications, bandwidth dropping for doing almost nothing ... hmm ...
Yes, it can be a bit daunting at first. There's a few good websites that are built on top of the Steemit blockchain, have a look at SteemNow.com and put your Username into the box where it says Settings.
This will load your Steemit details that are associated with your username. You will see the UpVotes and Daily Rewards that you get. Also the Curation awards that you get for sharing others posts, based on the previous seven days and the amount according to the post value and other details like your user account value.
You will understand when you look into it. My understanding is still basic, but as long as you are posting and receiving UpVotes and Sharing others content that you enjoyed, it will start making sense.
The site is run by @penguinpablo who does a great job of collating info about Steem, Steemit and other cryptocurrencies, look at the very bottom of the page and you can click the CoinMarkets.today website. This will give you an idea of where cryptos are in the top 50 coins/tokens.
Pablo also gives us a lot of info about what's happening daily in the crypto world and especially Steem.
The top of the page links to his page here on Steemit.
Like on Tsū, you are allocated a score according to how much value you produce here, Original Content is always the best! You know that from Tsū. 😎
Click on different items on SteemNow to see how they relate to your content.
There's another good site called Steemd.com which really goes into deep info about your account.
The blockchain is transparent, so all data related to your account is visible and available to look at.
You can see others info almost as much as your own, except for private things like passwords etc.
@woodywood143 knows much more than me and will probably be better to ask him questions that I don't know.
Like the best way to find others who you might want to share content from, big earning users and when to share.
He always helps me!
I hope that helps a bit.
steemnow and coinmarkets are interesting stats sites 👍🏼 btw. just read a warning from penguinpablo that steemitrewards.com seems to be a phishing site! Do you know sola.ai?
and i found an iOS app for notifications ... Steemify from the @blockbrothers 😎
Sola is like Instagram and it's monetised like Steemit.
A few of us that I know on there too. Are you on there too?
The site is based on the Etherium blockchain. They used to be known as Plaq. Eastern European team mostly I believe.
Yes, #OriginalContent is king, i know for sure ツ i'll check out steemnow ... i know steemd already. There are a few other tools i found like steamitboard.com, busy.org, steemstats.com, steemtools.com, steemworld.org, etc. ... Hey thanx for the exhaustive advice ツ
No problem, glad to try and help. 😎
Just noticed you on Sola! Good deal, see ya there too mate!
Keep your eyes peeled for more image sites popping up in the coming months, they will be monietised with either Steem or Ether, places like Appics and dPixify are gonna get the light.
Willkommen! Bin gespannt auf Deine Beiträge
Danke, ich auch :D werden sich hauptsächlich um Fotografie drehen.
