I remember the first time I went with some work colleagues to a Japanese restaurant in Chicago. The cook came down to our table and just cooked there in front of us. He spoke away to us and was very funny. I really enjoy the experience.

@anmeitheal sounds like Teppan Yaki. Those guys are all entertainers. Great cooks as well. Did he do the spit egg over fried rice? Flip the shrimp in someone's shirt?

I can't remember now, only that I closed my eyes and ate whatever was given to me :)

You do not want to do that in Japan! They will fee you whale or horse or turtle! lol. Actually horse is pretty good.
