VRChat has been playing to DJ events and music events.[EN/JP]
DJ club events are organised by Japanese users, but there are also events organised by overseas users, which I pay attention to.
I was born and live in Japan, so visiting events organised by users in Europe, North and South America and other countries feels like travelling abroad without physical transport.
Rather, I recognise the metaverse as a tool that allows me to experience the cultures of people from all over the world.
In particular, the servers opened by European users (like a different space where only certain users can gather) are full of users with shiny and glittering avatar costumes and decorations.
As for me, I'm just a kid in a hoodie with the usual blue afro.
I feel like I should be,
I'm afraid of being different from others. It's not that I think.
Rather,
I am me. I am aware that I am not the only one.
However, I felt that if I dress too differently from the users around me, it is not a good way to communicate and show acceptance of other cultures.
I want to look as much like the users around me as possible.
So, I decided to make my own
making new avatars and trying different things.
I also devised various costumes to make them glow, and I had almost finished them, but I can't upload them easily.
I tried for three or four days, but it didn't work, and I had to keep making corrections.
On the fifth day,
To upload the retry, I scrolled down to the button ‘Build’ in Unity, which was hidden under the window display, and noticed that there was a button for testing and a button for production.
Yes!!!
What I had been pressing was the button for testing!
Until now, I had only worked with Unity seasonally, so I had made this mistake every time I uploaded my avatar on VRChat.
It turns out that because I had mistakenly pressed the test up button, I was unable to officially upload it and register it in the Metaverse.
I was very careless.
In the overseas user communities outside of the Japanese community, from my point of view, most of the users have beast avatars rather than human avatars, so I'm thinking of either buying a beast avatar or trying to make one myself? I'm also thinking about it.

郷に入っては郷に従え
VRChat では、DJイベントや音楽イベントへ遊びにいっています。
DJクラブイベントは、日本ユーザーもですが海外ユーザーが開催するイベントが有り、私は注目しています。
私は日本生まれ日本在住なので、ヨーロッパ・南北アメリカなどの各国ユーザーが開いているイベントを訪問することは、物理的移動を伴わない海外旅行と同じ感覚と感じています。
と言うよりも、世界中の人々の文化を体験できるツールとしてメタバースを認識しています。
特に、ヨーロッパユーザーの開くサーバー(特定のユーザーだけが集まれる異空間の様なもの)は、アバター衣装が光る煌びやかな装飾を施したユーザーが多いです。
私はというと、いつもの青いアフロでパーカーを着た子供です。
何だか、はずかしくて、、
他人と違うことが怖い。と思うわけではありません。
むしろ、
自分は自分。と言う意識ではあります。
が、やはりあまりにも周りのユーザーと違う衣装では、他の文化を受け入れる気持ちを表すというコミュニケーションを図る上では良くないと感じました。
少しでも周りのユーザーと似た見た目にしたい。
そこで、自分でも
新しいアバターを作っていろいろ試しています。
私も、光らせる衣装を着せたくていろいろ工夫して、だいたい完成していたのですがなかなかアップロードができません。
3日4日ほどかけても上手く行かず、修正を繰り替えしました。
5日目にして、
再挑戦のアップロードをするために、Unityでボタン「Build」がウィンドウ表示の下に隠れていたのでスクロールすると、テスト用のボタンと本番用のボタンがあるのに気がつきました。
そう!
今まで押していたのはテスト用のボタンだったんです!!
これまで、季節ごとしかUnityを扱わなかったので、VRChatでアバターをアップする時は、毎回このミスを起こしているのでした。
勘違いでテストupボタンを押していた為、正式にアップしメタバース上で登録ができないでいたことが分かりました。
何ともそそっかしい私です。
日本コミュニティ以外のユーザーコミュニティ私から見るところの海外コミュニティでは、人類より獣アバターのユーザーさんがほとんどなので、私も獣アバターを購入するか自分で制作に挑戦してみようか?とも考えています。
この光る衣装、カメしょうさん作なのですか？！凄すぎる・・・
青アフロ、目印になって良いですよね。先日Spatialでツアーしていただいたせいか、見かけると安心感を抱くようになってしまいましたw
いえいえ、自分でアバターを光るように改造したいと思って１年越しくらいですよ～。
安心の青いアフロになれるよう心がけます😁
