Jesus is Enough - What do Christians Believe?

in #jesus8 years ago

I know there are a lot of different people here on Steemit. We come from a variety of backgrounds and places. We believe different things and have different religions. Even those of us among the same religion will have differing theology in some areas. I have had a good time reading posts from some of you from the different backgrounds, very thought provoking.

But for us Christians, this is Holy Week. The week that makes Christians who they are. If the events of Holy Week didn’t happen, our religion wouldn’t be here today. So I’m going to share this Youtube video with you because it shows the basic belief system of Christians. Which is this: We are not good enough for God. He knows it, we know it. But He loves us anyway and sent His Son to take the punishment for our sins that we deserved, even the worst ones that Christians and humans are too ashamed of.

This video is also a great reminder for seasoned Christians. Because we often forget that Jesus is enough for us. We will fail. We will sin again. We will hurt others. We often try to re-earn God’s gift that was generously and freely given to us before. But we don’t have to, because Jesus is enough.

If you have the time, the video is about eight minutes long. It will show you what your crazy Christians friends believe. And if you are a Christian, it will remind of truths you may have forgotten. The man preaching is Judah Smith. Have you heard of him? I hadn’t before this video either. But it’s highly unlikely you will forget him after. I know I won't.
