When the then Princess Alexandra married Albert, Prince of Wales (the future King Edward VII) in 1863, he gave her a wedding parure, which she wore on her wedding day.
The tiara was gifted to her eldest daughter, and appears to have been sold by one of her descendants.
The rest of it was retained in the royal family, and the necklace in particular tends to be worn often by the royal ladies.
