RE: What can be the next blockchain killer app

in #killer-app8 years ago (edited)

Wouldn't see Lisk as a killer app. It's based on javascript wich uses something called "floating numbers" wich means that it's dealing with numbers in a way that is a problem when dealing with money.

"Javascript numbers are not the most reliable. Especially when we are dealing with a crypto-currency, you really want your numbers to be on point. JS uses floating point which means some things get approximated and digits get lost in certain cases."

My favorites right now are Dash, Monero, Ethereum, Storj and counterparty.

Javascript is not a problem for financial if properly implemented (as integers) or with using proper libraries (bigdecimal, etc.). I'm not involved in any of these projects and so I don't have any deep knowledge but all of these show certain potential. Time will tell. I definitely like some ideas behind but it will mainly depend on project development and further decisions.
