아쉽게도 방콕의 스팀페스트4에 참여하지 못해 집에서 방콕하며 유튜브로 스팀페스트 영상을 보고 있습니다. 그러던 중 스팀 커뮤니티 시연회를 보니 어마어마 하겠구나 했습니다. 스팀의 커뮤니티 구조는 저에게는 이미 익숙한 레딧의 섭레딧 방식으로 구현이 될 예정인 걸 알고 있었으므로 기대하고 있던 내용을 확인 사살(?)하는 차원에서 보았는데도 놀라움에 기대감이 차오르더군요.
짧게 요약하면 이렇습니다.
- 커뮤니티 접속 화면과 내부 운영자 관리 방식은 레딧의 섭레딧과 싱크로율 90% 이상.
- 커뮤니티 생성자(오너)는 멤버들을 가입 시킬 수도 있으며 등급을 설정할 수 있다. (Engrave 블로그와 유사 방식)
- 커뮤니티 관리자는 유저들의 아이디 옆에 타이틀을 달아줄 수 있다.
- 커뮤니티는 마치 유저를 follow하듯이 내가 원하는 커뮤니티를 join을 할 수 있다.
- 커뮤니티에 글을 올리면 자신의 블로그에는 글이 남겨지지 않으나 리스팀을 통해 담아올 수 있다.
- 커뮤니티에 자신이 작성한 글 보상의 기본 설정은 자신이 갖는 것으로 되어있다.
- 커뮤니티에 올라오는 모든 글에 수혜(beneficiary)설정을 지정 할 수 있고 그 것을 통해 커뮤니티 보상풀에 할당 후 모은 자금으로 오프라인 밋업이나 콘테스트 상금으로 사용이 가능하다.
- 스팀의 커뮤니티는 스팀잇에서도, 스팀픽에서도, 그 외 기타 등등의 front-end를 통해 모두 접속이 가능하다.
저는 7번에서 신선한 충격을 받았습니다.
벌써 스팀잇에서 계정 생성 후 2년을 지나고 있는데 과거 2018년 4~5월경 스팀잇의 분위기가 후끈 달아 올랐을 땐 한국 오프라인 밋업을 꽤 자주 찾아 볼 수 있었습니다. 저도 몇번의 기회가 되어 스티미언의 성지로 불리던 선유기지 까페에 다녀올 수 있었고 홍대 근처에서 개최된 스팀시티에도 다녀오면서 국내 스티미언들을 실제로 만나고 인사도 나눌 수 있던 정말 값진 기회였습니다.
심지어 그 모임 중 제가 아는 한 그룹은 여전히 정기 모임을 이어가고 있고 최근엔 스팀잇을 통해 만난 커플의 결혼 소식까지 있었습니다. 스팀은 사람이 중심인 커뮤니티 기반이기에 아무리 크립토가 약세장에 들어설지라도 그 때 만난 소중한 사람의 인연은 갈라놓을 수 없었겠지요. ^^ 이 아름다운 모임은 모두 자비로 자발적으로 생겨났으나 각종 모임과 만남에 따른 비용을 스팀 커뮤니티가 시스템적으로 해결하지는 못했습니다.
저는 2년전 그 때 스팀을 알게되어 그런 모임이 생겨남이 너무 반가웠고 즐거웠습니다. 마치 트위터가 처음 생겼을 때 같은 분위기였어요. (공중화장실에 변을 보던 중 휴지가 없다 트윗을 날리면 지나가던 누군가가 휴지를 주고 갔다는 풍문이 있습니다.ㅎㅎ)
그리고 지금도 그 때처럼 즐겁고 활기찬 커뮤니티가 스팀을 통해 피어 날 수 있기를 간절히 바라고 있기에 여지것 스팀에 투자해 존버(?) 중에 있습니다. 이제는 스팀 커뮤니티가 시스템적으로 각종 모임과 만남에 소요될 비용을 해결해 줄 수 있을껍니다. 아마도 스팀이 많은 커뮤니티를 꽃피우며 다시 활기를 되찾고나면 다시는 무너지지 않을 겁니다.
사람이 있는 곳에 기회도 있습니다.

I'm excited as much as you buddy, I think community will be the next big thing out there and I'm quite happy seeing it that way really. I'm not attending steemfest too unfortunately and I hope I was. Have fun streaming from home my friend

haha, it’s your right to do so but seems quite too much for just not having a thumbnail.
My post is about watching several hours long lengthy steemfest video on youtube and summarize key points related to the upcoming communities feature to non-English speaker in Korea. I didn’t think I’d need a thumbnail for this to avoid downvotes.
Well, and you did and i guess it’s up to you. But you and your automated followed likwid need some quality control on downvotes. Otherwise, it's only too discouraging. ☹️

i support the idea of free downvotes in general but not in the way he used.
it seems we need a systematic upgrade to control abusive downvotes in the upcoming hardfork(s). maybe it’s time now we start considering before the mass adoption, too. we’d definitely don’t want new comers to leave steem with great disappointment from abusive downvotes.
A lot of damage has been done by abusive downvoters, accounts being destroyed, people losing faith and quitting. I don't think this problem will go away, unless these abusers do. But hopefully with communities we'll see a real change.
i'm afraid that approach is quite too naive. At least, our community needs a tool to fight those abusive downvoters. but let me repeat, i support good downvotes. it's just those abusive behavior needs to be somehow countered/corrected.
This is pretty lame @transisto ... I sometimes post stuff without thumbnails. In fact communities will be full of no thumbnail posts.
