Sadly, I don't think HIVE is anywhere on the radar of people who might be looking for other platforms to use. I wish it was, but no from what I have seen. I'm actually not a fan of the ban as much as I hate Tik Tok. I don't blame them if they shut down the servers. Probably save them a bit of money.

I agree it's sadly the case. We are still very niche, but need to figure out how to come more main stream. The Red Not app seems to be the winner. People are using an app they can't read over going back to Facebook or instagram
Very interesting. I'm honestly not interested in signing up for a new social media app right now. I have been trying to get my in-laws to switch over to Signal for our g pup communication, but that is like pulling teeth with them. I just want something cross platform that offers encrypted messaging.
I hear that my parents a bit tech challenged. I use whatsapp but after the Meta talk lately I think I also need to figure out a new app...
I think all the one decent ones are still owned by big tech and you are going to end up with the same problems. I don't remember who owns Signal, but it's someone big I think.
