I personally don't agree with the fact they are trying to ban it for multiple reasons. They tried to force an experimental "vaccine" on everyone but now they are going to protect us from a popular social media app? Weird stuff. I'm not on TikTok but it is crazy.
That being said I do agree people will be looking for other platforms to hang out on. I think they will mainly flow back to Instagram and Snapchat in the United States and also more to YouTube shorts.
For HIVE / InLeo I think it could position itself as a place for more people to hang out on that might gravitate towards Rumble, X, The Arena, Truth Social but it really has to be marketed. The grass roots campaigns can only go so far.
Plus I recently onboarded a guy from Arena that actually has 20,000 followers on DeSo. He put up a test post and instantly got downvoted which negated my upvote and needless to say he wasn't interested in posting again or telling anyone about the platform. There are a lot of people in control that don't want to see it grow as strange as that might sound.
The nice part about this project is its user that down vote. It an organization so it's up to the community to decide on content
Yeah theoretically but if people get stomped out from the get go and it goes unnoticed they just leave and spend time on other platforms.

Imagine getting on any other platform and posting a picture you took of a fire station and then getting flagged / downvoted. It isn't like it was some shocking picture with nudity or something controversial.
