Investing on Hive (Sidechains) Post 9: Thoughts On Tags?

Hive Engine (Hive Sidechain) Investments

New Format! :)

For this post, I'd like to ask the community some questions:
Do you agree with how this post is tagged based on the content contained?
Do you feel anything is being tagged improperly?
Why do you feel that way?
(Logical, not emotional. I get how you feel, why do you feel this way, specifically.)

Those are just a few questions as it pertains to how I tag my posts. I take all scrutiny seriously so when I see someone questioning, even wrongly and hypocritically..., I question myself and seek the counsel of others. Consideration for others is where we can all choose to go right, if we are well-intentioned. :)

I ask these questions because I do not seek to step on any toes or mis-label any of the information, thoughts, ideas, investments, actions, etc., of my own that I share, where they reasonably shouldn't be.

A final side question, is there content you find undervalued that you'd like me to assist in adding value to?
That can mean inside and outside the scope of what I'm currently investing in/speaking about!
Feel free to share what you feel is undervalued content so I can curate it!

EPC staying consistent! Payment 8 has arrived. :) Small, but in numbers, mighty!

I've hit my lower cost buy order now for 44,000 more EPC, so that is not present and should reflect with larger payouts and stated stake. Awesome!

1: 0.01 SIM

Today marks the first SIM earning! It's 0.01 SIM, but that is better than nothing! It seems putting investment into your city and then focusing on holdings might be the best avenue for growth. :P It looks like these are the stats for my city so far!

LEO sits at it's new higher spot. No returns today, but I'm voting on LEO content much like everything else I've invested in, and I'm sure more curation will pop up soon. :)

Small return for NEOXAG today, mostly curation, which I'm definitely happy with! :)

A tiny little return today for WAIV, but mostly curation which is expected to be much smaller amounts! Happy to see anything at all. :)

Small returns from both today, mostly curation! If tagging my posts with these two requires me to actually talk about me playing them, enlighten me please. I don't see any solid proof that I need to to earn or that I deserve to catch shit for tagging these when talking about how they work and investment in them, but others may not feel the same and if there's enough voices speaking up I can shift my meta.

20 STEM0.03 Hive/Ea

These are all great investments with a low barrier to entry that you can have fun with and experiment on how "Tokenomics" works and what returns you can expect to see numerically, across the board based on different code settings and configurations! They've also consistently had volume of trade, even if the volume is low. The low price points and ability to begin staking/trading with minimal capital, make them IMO a great starter investment for someone not looking to drop the cost needed to begin with SIM or LEO or some of the other high-entry-cost tokens.

HODLing currently. :)

Thanks for reading. Feel free to share opinions of your own and discuss the topic in the comments! :) Always open to new ideas/investments.

Every author has their own reasons for using their tags. Others, also copy and paste tags they see from other authors without knowing what it is for - I see this mostly from those who are new to Hive.

The good thing about tags is it will enable you to earn those tagged tokens. The bad thing happening is, there are people who intentionally abuse this feature. This leaves a negative impression on using tags improperly.

Now, since you asked, I am seeing that your article as financial in nature. Tags like STEM, SPLINTERLANDS, and the ONEUP tags doesn't "exactly fit" the content of your article. For example, ONEUP tag is suited for gaming related content while STEM is also suited for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math related contents.

Btw, I also see that you've upvoted your own post:

I checked your previous post and you did the same.
While some don't mind it, some people consider this as a selfish and greedy act.

So, should you continue using the tags like this and or upvoting your own post?
It's all up to you. Just don't be surprised if someone will disagree with you. 🙂

I understand that, I appreciate the input and I will try to be mindful of others when I do see them having an issue with tags. I can still earn plenty from not tagging and still continuing to vote and curate content so I have no qualms with ultimately removing them should enough voice their opposition to it or threaten negative consequences against me for my actions. For now it seems to be alright and I'm not spamming multiple posts a day or commenting wildly or anything so I think I'll be alright. I do intend to post about playing the games I invest in as well so would you think it'd be good to keep the financial posts separate, tag them with financial tags, and then make a 2nd post a day about gaming and other activities and then tag them accordingly?

I get your point about self-voting but we are supposed to be our own biggest supporters after all. :P I only post once a day and my voting is most definitely above 88%~ for others and the support I can give them. I know it's not always shown directly and up-front, but if you take a little look behind the scenes you can somewhat see what someone's intentions are.

image.png
As you can see, I vote other posts I find interesting or alluring quite excessively haha. Sometimes it drains my voting power immensely. :P I also do NOT vote my comments no matter how many I make, except once in a blue moon if I'm maybe trying to push a 0.02~ a little higher so that it reaches what it needs to actually give value. This ensures there is a bit of curation for whoever voted but didn't reach threshold and yes, it does give me a little bit of value where it would otherwise be lost. I don't claim to never self vote but from what I can observe as I've been finding out different social mannerisms that take place here, as long as I'm not trying to milk the earnings by posting utter bullshit and I'm not purely upvoting everything I do and actually spreading some support to others, I should be alright. It's another spot where I'm also open to just not doing it, as if it offends enough people or they see it as poor behavior, I'd rather be respectful and not step on toes. :)

Thank you for the input! I do seek to maximize my earnings here, yes. I do not wish to do it in such a way that it offends people, no. I have tried to keep my posts to a minimum instead of breaking them down into multiple as I could considering I am discussing many different investments. I want to consolidate my posting as much as possible and focus more on curation and commenting and engaging other people in conversations on both my posts and theirs. I'm glad to be getting some responses so it already feels very gratifying. I appreciate you taking the time to comment!

You can see, even when I do self vote, I tend to prioritize using the higher vote power and rewards, for other posts I enjoyed or liked seeing first, and then I vote myself after I've assigned a slight bit of greater value to others. :P

I like STEM. Burned coins and a great community make it a good buy. Less than $0.02 currently and supported by a miner coin as well.

I like seeing burns when it comes to tokens too. :) STEM is one I'm definitely holding onto, staking even if there's no gain behind doing so (Is there? I haven't looked yet, honestly.) and providing people with ways to cash out and buying their tokens when the market is taking longer. I like paying above and seeing it go higher or paying low and seeing it dip a bit more. Crypto is nice like that. :)

STEM seems to have some purpose for the APE mining thing, I'm looking into that currently as well. It's tied in to dCity it seems as well so maybe some room for multipurpose use. :) Thank you for the input!

I don't think there is an apr for staking STEM. Crypto volatility is great for dollar cost averaging, and I love the swings downward.
