Anniversary Dinner, Fondue, Seafood & WOO Crates?

in #leofinance9 months ago

I’m taking my wife out to dinner tonight for our wedding anniversary to a restaurant called “The Melting Pot”. Aside from a huge bill and fondue I’m not really sure what to expect. With it being so close to Valentine’s Day, they are having a limited menu and the first thing on the appetizer list is crab. ONLY crab. My wife is thrilled with that but not me. I hate seafood.

Here’s the menu for dinner. Luckily there are some land lover options for the other courses. The frustrating thing is I love the way seafood looks when it’s cooked. Bright, vibrant and looks really good. Sadly I think it all tastes like shit. Even sushi, which is raw, looks good. But just like the cooked seafood, it’s takes awful. She’s thinking about getting the Lobster Tail “add on” for the low, low price of $17 dollars. Guess what? No steak “add-on”. lol I think the concept of a fondue themed restaurant is cool. Just wish they had some additional meat options for boring people like me when they have limited holiday menus. What do you guys think? Like seafood, hate seafood, only like certain kinds of seafood? How about sushi?

I was also debating opening some of my WOO “Legendary” crates during dinner but I’m sure that won’t go over very well.

Dare me to try it? lol

I have mixed feelings about seafood. Something like a lemony fillet or a bacon wrapped scallop are awesome. Shrimp can be hit or miss. Nothing appeals to be me about cracking open lobster for some reason, though I certainly like lobster meat.

Sushi I enjoy, paired with ample ginger, wasabi, and soy. As long as it's not the super large chunks of raw sashimi that is. I think I'm actually mildly allergic to that.

Little late for the crate dare but if you cracked some at any point, let us know what was in there!! I think there's still a gold belt Terri in them somewhere...

If you genuinely can't stand the crab, just let your wife have yours, and order yourself some extra of something you do like later 😂

How did the crate opening go???
