Dear Hiveans,
the crypto prices seem quite volatile at the moment.
Though I am surprised time and again (this time by a >50% BTC price crash within a bull run and a rather well-timed attack by the CCP), I kind of enjoy this turbulence and try to buy the dips. This nonchalance stems from some experience within the crypto realm over years.
Here are 2 big business guys who think alike 😉
What we are witnessing with BTC (and probably crypto/decentralization) is a paradigm shift:
- as for thinking about money (towards a focus on it as a store of value)
- for the perspective on energy (recommended reading: every book by Vaclav Smil, e.g. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31850765-energy-and-civilization, https://bitcoinandenergy.medium.com/bitcoin-mining-and-the-case-for-more-energy-90094ce25fac, Spoiler: we need much, much more energy production in this world)
- for the concept of trust (with implications for money as credit (fiat))
- for the view on risk (systemic risk, "single point of failure" (FED?), historic volatility vs. risk)
This paradigm shift won't occur over night, but will take at least a generation. As BTC is almost exactly 12.5 years old, two things come to mind.
- That's around half a generation. So, perhaps, 12.5 years in the future the paradigm shift will be complete and BTC will reign supreme as full global money.
- 12.5 years is around the age puberty starts. So, if people think the price volatility we've seen so far was wild, I'd remind them of their own puberty and the accompanying hormonal fluctuations, behaviours and turbulences. BTC could become a capricious beast.

die Krypto-Preise scheinen im Moment recht volatil zu sein. Obwohl ich immer wieder überrascht werde (dieses Mal durch einen >50% BTC-Preisabsturz inmitten eines Bull Runs und einen ziemlich gut getimeten Angriff durch die CCP), genieße ich irgendwie diese Turbulenzen und versuche, die Dips zu kaufen. Diese Nonchalance basiert auf jahrelanger Erfahrung im Krypto-Bereich.
Hier sind 2 große Geschäftsmänner, die ähnlich denken 😉.
Was wir mit BTC (und wahrscheinlich Krypto/Dezentralisierung) erleben, ist ein Paradigmenwechsel:
- was das Denken über Geld angeht (hin zu einem Fokus auf seiner Funktion als Wertaufbewahrungsmittel)
- für die Perspektive auf Energie (empfohlene Lektüre: jedes Buch von Vaclav Smil, z.B. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31850765-energy-and-civilization, https://bitcoinandenergy.medium.com/bitcoin-mining-and-the-case-for-more-energy-90094ce25fac, Spoiler: wir brauchen viel, viel mehr Energieproduktion in dieser Welt)
- für das Konzept von Vertrauen (mit Implikationen für Geld als Kredit (fiat))
- für die Sicht auf Risiko (systemisches Risiko, "single point of failure" (FED?), historische Volatilität vs. Risiko)
Dieser Paradigmenwechsel wird nicht über Nacht stattfinden, sondern mindestens eine Generation dauern. Da BTC fast genau 12,5 Jahre alt ist, kommen mir zwei Dinge in den Sinn.
- Das ist ungefähr eine halbe Generation. Vielleicht wird also in 12,5 Jahren der Paradigmenwechsel abgeschlossen sein und BTC wird als vollwertiges globales Geld dominieren.
- 12,5 Jahre ist ungefähr das Alter, in dem die Pubertät beginnt. Wenn die Leute also denken, dass die Preisvolatilität, die wir bisher gesehen haben, wild war, würde ich sie an ihre eigene Pubertät und die damit einhergehenden hormonellen Schwankungen, Verhaltensweisen und Turbulenzen erinnern. BTC könnte ein launisches Biest werden.

los precios de las criptomonedas parecen bastante volátiles en este momento.
Aunque me sorprenden una y otra vez (esta vez por una caída del precio del BTC de más del 50% dentro de una carrera alcista y un ataque bastante oportuno del CCP), disfruto de esta turbulencia y trato de comprar las caídas. Esta despreocupación se debe a la experiencia adquirida durante años en el ámbito de las criptomonedas.
Aquí hay 2 grandes empresarios que piensan igual 😉 .
Lo que estamos presenciando con BTC (y probablemente con la cripto/descentralización) es un cambio de paradigma:
- en cuanto al pensamiento sobre el dinero (hacia un enfoque sobre el mismo como depósito de valor)
- para la perspectiva sobre la energía (lectura recomendada: todos los libros de Vaclav Smil, por ejemplo, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/31850765-energy-and-civilization, https://bitcoinandenergy.medium.com/bitcoin-mining-and-the-case-for-more-energy-90094ce25fac, Spoiler: necesitamos mucha, mucha más producción de energía en este mundo)
- para el concepto de confianza (con implicaciones para el dinero como crédito (fiat))
- para la visión del riesgo (riesgo sistémico, "punto único de fallo" (¿FED?), volatilidad histórica frente a riesgo)
Este cambio de paradigma no ocurrirá de la noche a la mañana, sino que llevará al menos una generación. Como BTC tiene casi exactamente 12,5 años, se me ocurren dos cosas.
- Eso es alrededor de media generación. Así que, tal vez, dentro de 12,5 años el cambio de paradigma será completo y BTC reinará como dinero global completo.
- 12,5 años es más o menos la edad en que comienza la pubertad. Así que, si la gente piensa que la volatilidad de precios que hemos visto hasta ahora ha sido salvaje, yo les recordaría su propia pubertad y las fluctuaciones hormonales, comportamientos y turbulencias que la acompañan. BTC podría convertirse en una bestia caprichosa.

Que bueno es contar con la opinión de un profesional en estos momentos de incertidumbre. Hoy me levante pensando en la forma de actuar de los gobiernos.
Cuando inicia la corrida alcista ellos no dicen nada negativo e incluso hacen comentarios y cosas positivas a favor. Pero luego de un pico alto todos inician una guerra en contra de BTC lo que me hace suponer que ellos están haciendo dinero con BTC comprando a la baja y luego que han vendido en los precios altos inician su campaña para bajar los precios.
Entonces son hipócritas al decir que BTC carece de valor cuando ellos han hecho millones de dólares con el. Pero aquellos que les siguen el juego y venden sus activos cuando el precio esta cayendo son los blancos perfectos.
El mejor remedio es como lo has planteado de una forma muy profesional, hay que aprovechar las caídas y comprar, si no lo haces tu ellos (los gobiernos) lo harán y luego tendrás que comprarle a ellos a un precio mas elevado.
Lo bueno es que en cada ciclo de estos BTC obtiene un mínimo mas alto (así lo ha demostrado la historia), de manera que su crecimiento parece imparable.
Sí, yo también creo que el bitcoin es imparable. No hay ningún "punto único de fallo". Sabremos más en 1-2 años.
