Our Official APPICS Video has now been shot almost exactly 1 year ago.
The concept of APPICS was already born in 2016, but the video was planned and scripted in early summer 2017, shortly after which the team came together to build and design the location, and shot the video over the course of 2 days.
This post takes you behind the scenes to our official APPICS promotion video and gives you a small glimpse of how everything came together.
Let's take a look at the details in the video one more time!
We wanted to create a video which explains and showcases the APPICS app and its benefits, but also introduces the audience to the basics of blockchain technology.
The video shoot was spread across two days and completed in dozens of different locations.
Our scenes took place in an office complex, on a beach, on the roof of a building, and next to a lake, to name a few.
In the main office team, we showed a glimpse of the APPICS team working together and creating new ideas.
The whole room was re-structured as a film set and decorated with additional furniture - even with props like cryptocurrency miners.
First, we started to shoot the Solo scenes: the three founders Tony, Sandro and Uma each had their own part in the video to showcase some features of the app.
Tony (@sirwinchester) opened the video with his freestyle, which is being recorded and posted on APPICS.
Uma (@mrs.steemit) later showcased the integrated shop system on APPICS, while Sandro was showing his creative side as a designer by painting on APPICS Livestream.
The whole team then came together for the main office scene, and next we continued with the beach scene.
But suddenly, the original actor for the role called the shoot off - so we quickly had to find a replacement.
Luckily, one of our friends was available on very short notice and jumped right in.
Our last scene took place on the rooftop of an extravagant office building with 6 floors and unique architecture.
Perfect weather conditions were essential for our scene that took place outside - and since we shot with a drone, the wind also couldn't be too strong!
We finished the last shot of the video with a drone, recording the APPICS Team standing in the triangle formation from above.
Our professional camera team @elenahornfilm flew from London to Hamburg for the shoot, and the rest of the cast was part of the APPICS team.
A big thank you to Elena and Alessandro, who created an amazing video with their experience and professional equipment.
After the shoot, the video went into post-production and animations were added to explain some concepts more easily.
Thanks to our great teamwork within the APPICS team, we have created an awesome video in the end.
The two shooting days were very productive but also fun, and we enjoyed working with everyone on such a fun project!
But there is one thing we can tell you in advance: this will not be the last video about APPICS!
