A mouthful of a title, but formulated to draw your attention to The Karma Police Podcast, which does what the title says and more: De-mystifying & Unmuting the Ubiquitous, Destructive Background Radiation Surrounding Child Sexual Abuse.
I'll keep the intro short. If you enter, I believe you will be rewarded with a powerful experience. If you are sensitive to the subject matter, it is possible you may be triggered. The 'unmentionable', the "I dare not acknowledge it even to myself", is mentioned and acknowledged with courage, honesty, integrity. The delivery is gentle, but at the same time it is raw, yet unashamed. The two presenters (Aria and Phoenix) have themselves thoroughly experienced the entire process: victims of child abuse, living for many years with the Pain inside, going through the therapeutic process - facing, coming to terms with, accepting, healing. They are now speaking out as they share their experiences of abuse, supression and healing! This Breaking of Silence is IMO, of the Very Highest Quality. The podcasts demonstrate a powerful healing process at work in real time, both for the two presenters, as well as for the listening participant(s). There is great depth of Experience and Knowledge - personal, observational, analytical, spiritual, academic; and it is shared with clarity and without drama or sentimentality - with honesty and feeling; with dignity. The content of KPP rocks the very foundations of orderly society and dismantles many a facade. I believe that the content of these podcasts will have Very Deep Relevance for many who may be reading this. If you are triggered by the very mention of this subject matter, but nonetheless have read this far - Courage 🔆 !
"Breaking the Silence is The Healing"(KPP episode 6)
Phoenix, one of the presenters, is @matrjoschka on the Steem blockchain. A couple of months ago he embedded the first five episodes of the Karma Police podcast in a post entitled 'The Karma Police Podcast: A toolkit for abuse survivors '. The complete first 'season' of 10 episodes has now been posted to the KPP website (https://karmapolice.earth/) and I have embedded the first three episodes in this post below. You can find all current and future episodes on the KPP website itself.
One third of all of us dear friends, brothers and sisters, will have experienced some form of sexual abuse before the age of 18. Nearly one third of us will be married or partnered with another third of the population, and there are parents and siblings, children, friends, relatives, colleagues, fellow Steemians. Directly or indirectly, nearly every one of us is likely to be affected, be this acknowledged or not. Silence reveals itself as complicit, even abusive, for it helps engineer and fuel much of the misery, pain and insanity in the Human Experience. Shame, lies, suppression, distortions, manipulations, distractions, communication and mental breakdowns: such are some of the base components making up this shroud of Silence, whatever the age and era, whatever section of society it may lay its burning fingers upon.
"The Karma Police podcast focuses on survivors of abuse and their stories of healing and recovery. Both of your hosts, Aria and Phoenix, are survivors of childhood sexual abuse and have gone through a long and rewarding process of self-healing.

Episode 2: What We Forgot
How was your childhood? What do you remember about your family home? Were you given space to explore the world, or were you conditioned by a deeply wounded society? This week we remember what we forgot.

Episode 3: Making the Darkness Visible
What is ritual abuse? This week’s podcast focuses on the memories of a ritual-abuse survivor and her experiences as a child in London. As the psychologist Carl Jung said:“Enlightenment consists not merely in seeing of luminous shapes and visions, but in making the darkness visible.”

Thank you for sharing this. I've always been hesitant to speak out and I'm not entirely sure I'm ready to now, but perhaps I need to take some more steps on my journey.
Feel hugged, sister! <3 I started following you. No pressure, though! Come as you are. :)
Thank you.
I imagine everything comes in its own perfect timing. It looks like you have taken courageous initial steps in this regard. Thank you for resteeming and commenting 🔆 .
Thank you barge. My past experiences of opening up weren't the best, so I'm still not confident in that regard. Baby steps, eh?
Big Hug to you sister! It's not straightforward to find an ear that listens without the listener's own personal shit kicking in. It's not your fault that you haven't been listened to. Perhaps you are now providing/carving this space for yourself on the blockchain!?
That's true. I guess we all have our own personal shit we're just trying to deal with.
