RE: More clues that I might be a bot... :)

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I recently jumped into a contest by some whales - the goal being to allow minnows or newer people some exposure by getting whale votes and some reesteem by some of the whales. This has really started by research into the inner workings of steem

Ive also had a few random people comment on my posts asking for me to check out their program/post where I essentially give them something on the smaller scale like an up vote, on the larger scale some actual $$ (BTC or Steem) in return for some exposure to their network.

There are also people that have created these programs where you get into them and bring people in for some compensation or you contribute to them for some response from a bot.

It feels to me - and again I still feel uneducated and new at this - but these trends will create a cap on steem where its not really dictated by people - but by peoples drive for $$. I still am a little unclear on how the flagging works - do you have any thoughts on this?

thanks for you time

These things have been going on OFF and ON for as long as I have been on steemit (about 13 months).

Some of them stick around, some of them die off. Some of them help for awhile then no longer seem to be as useful. Some of them start out good and then end up being a cash cow for the creators while not really helping the people that much.

It is kind of like life. I can't really tell you which ones to support. I also don't think there will really be a cap. Right now Steemit is artificially being slowed intentionally for adoption. Steemit Inc. has not advertised and they have not opened it wide for joining. In other words, the floodgates have not yet been opened. I expect big things to happen.

It is way too early to predict what any of those will be. There will be cycles though of ideas people already tried being tried by someone that doesn't know about previous attempts. This is again life. There will also be new things mixed in with the repeating cycles.

when you say slowing adoption are you talking just because they haven't advertised?
