Well, at least that is the general concept.
I recently planted out 15 papino trees in bags, checking every day whether or not the seeds have sprouted yet but this morning when I went to check, and other than a few stray weeds, the bags were filled with new growth.
Sadly however they were not pawpaw trees, in stead the planting bags were filled with a whole bunch of tiny white mushrooms, (which I am almost sure are poisonous) none the less they were beautiful!
Hopefully they are a sign that we will be getting some very much needed rain in the near future!!
they may be toxic but they are so cute... I agree with @globocop that they look like the little umbrellas for cocktails, though maybe not a good idea LOL
Bummer on the Pawpaws... I hope you guys get rain, too.

Yes same here, rain is direly needed.
That is so sad @breezin! We throw our pawpaw pips into the garden and masses of tiny trees grow. But the Karoo is not the right climate for them and they don't get more than a metre tall and die off
Oh sheesh I can imagine - here I have to plant them in bags until hey are big enough to go out, otherwise they get eaten by duikers, bosbok or birds (sometimes even by a stray goat LOL)

Ha haaaaaaaaaaa - I just replied to one of your goat posts before reading this - Yes I do have boerbokke, but I have been thinking about getting some milk goats (hopefully after the drought) But I will have to wait and see what the future holds.

Watter gras? Ek moet gaan kyk op die post. Dis seker steek gras en so bietjie lusern. Maar dis ook droog hier. Gewoonlik het ons baie kos. Maar ons moes die meeste van ons diere verkoop (My 60 Saanen melk bokke - maar ek het nog my 6 en nou 'n paar bok babas)
They seem to be made for cocktails.
Oh if only, I am 99% certain that they are deadly poisonous, so I will pass on those cocktails!

I love it how you stopped to appreciate how these potentially toxic mushrooms look like even though they probably mean that you won't be getting paw paw trees from them!
