Its a 1958-62 Renault Floride Convertible.
If the photo included the mirror, or part of the headlight it would have been easy... Still, I envy my gear-head friends.

Yes. As I understand it, this car was a knock off of the Corvair. With a rear air-cooled engine. Similar to the VW.
It does look like a cute little car.
It's a cute little car, I found a nice picture with an awesome tropical background. The buildings in the background remind me of the German apartments for off base personal we lived in until 1964,
