RE: Damn Drunk Driver and a Scooter (We are OK!!)

in #life7 years ago

I love how you open this with all the good things you were going to launch with, and then this drunk driver put a new spin on your story. The outcome could have been so much worse, though I usually take little comfort in thinking that way. You got a riveting new story to tell, anyway, and you tell it well! Please tell me you're writing fiction. You're a natural!

Aww thank you @carolkean! I was actually a high school English teacher for most of my adult life, and have written fiction here and there, but it's something I continue to play around with. It seems as though my life at the moment is enough fodder for writing at the moment, that there's no need for fiction haha

Ahhh, that explains it - you write so well, it's no surprise you taught high school English! I know what you mean: real life can keep one too busy or too fulfilled or too content to write fiction. It seems to me that a certain unrest, or an outrage, or anger, or passion, is necessary to get one to sit down and put words on paper when there's no class, no grade, as the incentive. "No need for fiction" - to me, that is a sign of someone who is living well and is well adjusted, not someone lacking in imagination. That said, I'd love to see more of your writing!

You're very perceptive :) One day I'll write more fiction I think; it's something that's been hovering around me my entire life :)

Thank you @carolkean!!

I hope you do write more fiction. You're a natural at writing! You might want to check out this post:
