The Type of Weather that is both my Friend and my Foe

in #life8 years ago (edited)

Almost everyday here in my country that is near the equator and is surrounded by water, the resulting weather it creates of a combination of hot and humid just saps everyone's energy. The heat also makes everyone not to put much effort on working on whatever they do outside because the humidity factor is not conjucive for it and if you are not careful, you might risk yourself to get a heat stroke or a dehydration.

So for myself I have to contend with this daily inconvenience. It makes my life uncomfortable because I always lay on my bed and if I would sweat, then the bedsheet would get wet so I have to just either replace it or cover the spot on my bed where lay with some shirts. The heat also makes me sweat a lot and because it is high on humidity, the water on my skin doesn't evaporate and it makes it sticky. it does not feel good plus also, it just makes me feel tired and unproductive.

What good the heat and humidity does for me is that it helps me lose some extra water through perspiration. The heat does two things then, it can make me drink more water which is good because I am restricted to have much water and if I am sweating a lot, I can easily replace it with having to drink fluids.

The heat also helps me not to get easily be waterlogged or being full with extra water because of the sweat that I produce. Note that it is not just heat but the factor of humidity makes the surroundings get likened into a sauna bath. So you will definitely sweat a lot even though you have an electric fan zeroed-in at you at full speed all the time. So if the heat makes me lighter before my dialysis, I would not get much complications from the large water extractions and thus saving me from painful cramps and hypotensions.

The hot and humid weather may give me a terrible feeling for a disabled person that cannot much find a comfortable spot so easily but sometimes it is good because when I sweat, it gives me the privilege to drink and at the same time get a more comfortable dialysis sessions.

It is rediculously hot in New Orleans

Nothing more other than it is not muddy too LOL.What I just like from a sunny weather is the fun and cheer that the sun brings to people @nezbong

Keep listening to your body :)As I was reading this @cryptopie I was just nodding my head. This is so true. When it was really hot, I don't even really pay much attention to my fluid. Yesterday it was warm and humid here and I spent a lot of time outdoors and I drank more fluid than I would have been allotted normally. When I got on the scale today I wasn't even 1kg over my dry weight. I'm lucky I don't normally get cramping, but I do experience hypotension and today's session was effortless.

Cool weather in the other hand makes me feel comfortable but I do not sweat a lot so every bit of moisture I take adds up quickly into the body then we get waterlogged so quickly. Dry weather associated with low humidity makes my skin itch as well. Weather patterns just has alot for us in many ways than for most people.Yes @lizzyib
