I'm guessing you could deepen the flavor by letting it sit and then fry the onions , etc. Also how is crushed garlic compared to the powder? I might switch to that instead of the badia option instead. The curry looks great but I'm not good with too much heat so on a scale of 1-10 how spicy is it?

About 2. Not spicy at all (only the cayenne). I personally find that crushed garlic has more flavor than garlic powder.
